They should have given us Black Widow in 2019 instead of Captain Lesbian.

And absolutely nobody is clamoring for a Shang-Chi movie, especially if they can't have Fu Manchu as his father.

Yeah Black Widow should have been done between the last two Avenger Movies.

Shang eh depends on how good the Martial Arts Choreography is for me.

That is information I hope gets out there more. Would be excellent if they added that backstory to the movie.

MCU-only fans who don't read comics will come out in troves to see a Shang-Chi feature, if it's successfully marketed .

I agree with you on Captain Marvel. But, Shang Chi could be huge. Remember, no one was clamoring for a Iron Man film either. Same for Captain America and Thor.

MS. MARVEL: Marvel Studios Casts Newcomer Iman Vellani As Kamala Khan In The Disney+ TV Series

After what's described as a "long and hard search" by Deadline, it's been confirmed today that Marvel Studios has found the lead of Ms. Marvel in newcomer Iman Vellani!

This marks the young actor's first major Hollywood production, and, as far as can be seen, she doesn't even have an IMDb page. However, she's been vocal in the industry, and was part of the "Next Wave Committee" at the 2019 Toronto Film Festival where she was among those tasked with adding a special tag to films with diverse casts and filmmakers they believed would resonate with their peers.

The trade notes that, "The plan always was to stay true to the character in finding the right actress to play the role, even if it meant offering a person that was not well known to the public."

Vellani is likely to have a bright future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Kamala Khan, and this news comes shortly after it was revealed Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, and Meera Menon had all been tasked with directing episodes of the upcoming Disney+ series.

Marvel Studios has been making a lot of casting additions to its TV shows recently, a sign that production is once again ramping up despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Ms. Marvel will follow Pakistani-American teen Kamala Khan as the titular hero. Khan made her comics debut in 2012, becoming Marvel's first Muslim character to star in her own title. In the MCU, Khan will become Marvel's first onscreen Muslim hero. The character was a breakout success, going on to lead her own team of fellow teenage heroes in 2017's comic series The Champions. According to Marvel Studios' President Kevin Feige, Ms. Marvel is only the beginning for Kamala Khan as the character has a future in the MCU films.

The Disney+ series is part of several shows that will expand the MCU. The current slate includes WandaVision, set for a 2020 release; The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki, both slated for 2021.

Ms. Marvel is expected to debut on Disney+ sometime in 2021.

Jamie Foxx is apparently in talks to reprise his role as Electro in the next Spider-Man movie. This is odd and potentially significant because Jamie Foxx's version of the character was in the pre-MCU Spiderman movies. It's very possible that he is playing a new take on Electro but the more interesting scenario is that maybe the events of Wandavision, Doctor Strange 2, and Ant-Man 3 will actually rip open the multiverse and certain heroes and villains get sucked into the MCU from other continuities.

Jamie Foxx Confirms Electro Return & Reveals That He "Won't Be Blue In This One"

The interwebs were sent ablaze yesterday when it was reported that Jamie Foxx was set to return as Electro in Marvel Studios' still-untitled Spider-Man sequel, and now, the Academy Award-winning actor has finally confirmed his involvment with an Instagram post that strongly hints at the Marvel multiverse.

He says, "Tell Spidey let’s run it back!... super excited to part of the new marvel Spider-Man new installment... can t wait for y’all to check the new one. And I won’t be blue in this one!! But a thousand percent badass!!! #swipeleft" and if you do actually swipe right, you'll see a number of photos and fan art that depict him squaring off with Tom Holland's titular webslinger, including one very interesting piece he chose to share where THREE Spideys are facing an electrical field with his face superimposed.

While it's likely just a fun piece that Foxx may have found amusing, he has now undoubtedly added a considerable amount of fuel to the ever-growing fire for fans believing that Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures may secretly be planning a massive Spider-Verse event film that would also return both Tobey Maguire from the Raimi trilogy and Andrew Garfield from the Amazing duoology.

Foxx also stresses that he won't be blue in the upcoming threequel, which seemingly suggests that this will indeed be a different version of the classic Spidey villain and not the same character he played in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. However, as for whether he'll put on Electro's classic green suit with the matching headgear, that remains to be seen.

Foxx has since deleted his initial post, but this was among the photos he shared...

Warner Bros Delays Dune and The Batman Release Dates

Warner Bros. is moving Matt Reeves’ comic book tentpole “The Batman” to March 4, 2022. The release date change was widely expected after news broke earlier that the studio was delaying Denis Villeneuve’s science-fiction epic “Dune” from December 18, 2020 to October 1, 2021. That October 2021 date was set for “The Batman” prior to its new move to March. Warner Bros. originally planned to open “The Batman” in theaters June 25, 2021, but the pandemic bumped the release at first to October.

It's a good length to each episode as well. Most of the episodes are over an hour long which makes it enough to pack in and develope storylines and arcs in 1 or 2 episodes.
