I'm with you on the Force development thing. That is almost requiring that she be someone prominent's child because her midichlorian count must be off the chart to feel the Force so readily. That being said, who doesn't love the Kylo/Rey vs. Praetorian Guard fight scene?
I wish they hadn't canned the EU, because Luke's great-grandson Cade has (IMHO) the most compelling story in the Star Wars universe. I actually laughed about the alien breast milk scene. It made me think Luke has become as old and squirrelly as Yoda was in isolation.
I do agree that her development of Force knowledge appears far too rapid. But then again, Luke wasn't on Dagobah that long, either.
For Meowkitten & TDK: I agree that Adm. Hondo was unnecessary. Probably just a cameo because Laura Dern wanted to be in the flick. Oh well, she's gone already, so no real harm done. As for white folks and the Force, Anakin killed off most everyone else in the universe who could hold a lightsaber, so it's logical that of the remaining folks, they would be his descendants. Anakin's white, so the bulk of the Force users in the new films are his son, grandson and an unidentified woman who (although I hope she isn't) is probably going to end up tagged as Obi-Wan's relative or something.
What do you guys think about this?
