The Outpost premieres Tuesday, July 10 on The CW, and the network released a trailer to promote the show.

Synopsis:

Years after her entire village is destroyed by a gang of brutal mercenaries, Talon travels to a lawless fortress on the edge of the civilized world, as she tracks the killers of her family. On her journey to this outpost, Talon discovers she possesses a mysterious supernatural power that she must learn to control in order to save herself, and defend the world against a fanatical religious dictator.

The synopsis looks better than the trailer. Cute girl though.

Wait 'till the show actually airs. It'll be more backlash. What's misleading about the photo? Starfire doesn't look like that

According to the actress, cutting-edge visual effects will be used to make her look more like the character--whatever that means. Stay tuned.

I agree that the trailer is pretty underwhelming, even bland. I'll still watch the first episode, though.

Yeah I will watch the first episode as well based on the synopsis and give it a try.

Indeed

This is as much of a fiasco as the African chick who won Miss Finland awhile back
I had to google that. I can only assume the judgement was based on something she did (answers to questions, charitable work), as oppose to looks, because she is less than average even in the states.

Bad news....

Cancelled Timeless Fails to Find New Home; Major Economic Obstacles Make Wrap-Up Movie an 'Uncertainty'

By Matt Webb Mitovich / July 2 2018, 10:58 AM PDT

The future for Timeless just got even more bleak, if you can believe it.

Co-showrunner Shawn Ryan reports that any and all efforts to find the time travel drama a new home, after being cancelled by NBC after two seasons, have come up empty.

“[Sony Pictures TV] has notified [co-showrunner] @TheRealKripke and me that efforts to land #Timeless at another network have sadly failed,” Ryan shared Monday on Twitter. “While Sony will continue to look at any and all options, actor deals have expired and it appears there will be no Season 3 or beyond.”

As for the notion of a wrap-up movie that got floated in the immediate wake of NBC opting not to order a Season 3, Ryan says, “Discussions still take place… but there are considerable economic obstacles that make it an uncertainty. We will update you when we know more.”

(As TVLine explained in a recent story, starting production back up on a cancelled series whose sets have been struck and sent to storage — merely to service a one-off movie — is cost-prohibitive, while the expiration of cast contracts makes their non-guaranteed availability a scheduling issue.)

Ryan wrapped his series of tweets by saying that he, Kripke, the cast and crew send “our immense thanks and gratitude to all the #ClockBlockers who fought so hard for this show. You made a second season possible and gave us hope for a Season 3. We wish the news was better. We love you all.”

Suit Up - Live-Action Gundam Movie On Its Way
07/2018

Press Release

Legendary and Sunrise announced today at Anime Expo 2018, plans to co-produce the first-ever live-action feature film version of GUNDAM, based on Sunrise’s massively popular Mecha anime and science fiction media franchise.

The original Gundam series is set in the Universal Century, an era in which humanity's growing population has led people to emigrate to space colonies. Eventually, the people living in the colonies seek their autonomy, and launch a war of independence against the people living on Earth. Through the tragedies and discord arising from this human conflict, not only the maturation of the main character, but also the intentions of enemies and the surrounding people are sensitively depicted. The battles in the story, in which the characters pilot robots known as mobile suits, are wildly popular.

Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham will star in the feature, playing their 'Fast' characters Luke Hobbs, the Diplomatic Security Service agent, and Deckard Shaw, one of the franchise's primary bad guys. 'The Crown' actor Vanessa Kirby will also star.

Keri Russell & J.J. Abrams together again:

After six seasons in a moral gray zone on The Americans, Keri Russell will now join the fight between the light and the dark side in Star Wars: Episode IX.

Russell, who is coming off the series finale of 'The Americans,' is in talks to join the cast of 'Star Wars: Episode IX,' the next 'Star Wars' installment from Lucasfilm, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

Mr. Ditko and some of his prominent creations. A massively talented enigma who inspired generations of comic book artists and writers, he was tireless and inventive. He will be long remembered.

Based on the classic Grimm Brothers tale The Handless Maiden, and Stephanie Oakes’ novel The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly, Sacred Lies is about a hand-less teen who escapes from a cult and finds herself in juvenile detention, suspected of knowing who killed her cult leader.

The 10-episode drama will premiere on the free Facebook Watch video streaming platform July 27, 2018.

I really liked the Last Airbender, (It's follow up series The Legend Of Korra was hit and miss) I've also really liked Netflix's other animated adventure shows Vultron and Troll Hunters so I hope this is a good series.

Also wondering if the character in the middle might be black, the hairstyle could go either way. It would be cool if he was black, there is a noticeable lack of black characters in adventure animated shows.
