Had you read the stories of Jimmy Winkfield, Paul Robeson's son,and other brothers who dated and married Russian women Drow? Back in the day from the Czars to the Soviets a brother could date a Russian woman and encounter little to no drama.

    I haven't heard of that - interesting!

Too bad the skinhead nationalist seem to be gaining stream nowadays. Or are at least operating unchecked. I have nothing against a people wanting to preserve their traditions and culture and can understand that these things make up their very identity. I get that. What I don't condone is the brutal violence done by these groups in the name of that goal. They are essentially trying to "scare" everyone who is non-white Russian out of the country.

I know most Russian people don't share these views. Particularly the women I would imagine. Many of them want to get out of Russia not because they don't love their country but because many of the men from what I HEAR are often alcoholic, abusive and basically have no respect for women or loyalty to a relationship. As the woman outnumber the men, it is thought that they don't really put much effort into the relationship because if she starts becoming a problem. he will just go out and get someone else. That is why the Russian woman/bride websites are so prevalent. Moreso than any other ethnic background it seems. Perhaps the few Russian women on this site can verify? I'm just relaying what I hear.

I say let them chase their women away! I'll take em'

hmmm....you know it all makes sense, but it's still a stereotype. I heard SO MANY TIMES that people (especially Americans) really think that all the Russian men are alcoholics and mafia, and many women are prostitutes, and there are many bears walking down the streets. lol it's so funny! i mean yeah, some Russian men drink a lot, but so do men in any country! i can say, when i just came to the States, i was shocked of seeing how people buy a few boxes of beer each! here, nobody does it! they can buy a bottle or two, but not the box!!!! and about Russian men, according to my experience, i can say, that they are more respectful to women than American men. maybe I've met the wrong guys only in the US, but they couldnt treat me the way i'm used to! and when i got upset of that, American girls told me "girl, it's America, you have to get used to it!" i'm pretty sure, there are some great men in the States, but i wasn't lucky enough to meet them while i was there. lol by the way, i still dont like Russian guys at all....i'm just not attracted!

Ty lady DI. I've read about that particular thing concerning Russian women on the many websites as one their reasons to look abroad for a mate. Perhaps that is what many of them tell themselves? Whatever their reasoning, I don't care! I'm just glad that many of them are open to finding a mate abroad let alone of another ethnicity :D

oh yeah, you're absolutely right, Russian women are really open to other nationalities and races as well! :D and about those web sites...you know why they are looking that much for a foreign men? because they believe that life abroad is sooo much better and so are the men. i know they think so! lol and you wont believe how many TV broadcasts we have about some poor Russian women who married the foreigners and now have no rights, no love, nothing...they're trying to convince of those international and IR couples being wrong and harmful.

going to come to your country and work over there very soon! I don't know anybody over there and I thought it would be great to meet someone who is open to anything (as I am!). I would be happy to be friends, lovers or create a serious relationship! We will see what happens!
I hope you will write me back and I will write more info about myself
    and send more photos!!!!!!!!!!!
I am writing from my friend's email

I remember some show I watched, I forget what it's called, where the cops uncovered a global scam. An unsuspecting American man, an older fellow, was sending all this money to his "fiance" "Wendy" whom he had met online. He had been corresponding with "her" for a year but he'd only seen a few pictures. When he was gently told he had been scammed, he was so crushed. He cried and everything, poor fellow. But hello? Sending money to a "fiance" you never met? Our poster Joliemarie put it best when she said "where the penis leads, the wallet suffers."

right...but i think, everyone knows, that in today's world everybody wants to get something from you! is it money, sex, or any other advantage or whatever. so, if those men are smart enough, they would never send their money to the fiance, they've never met! so, if you did it, dont complain! lol it's you bad, not those women's! just think twice next time before doing something so fondly. by the way, there are many stories with the happy ends!

Da, of course I'm Russian, and I speak Russian. :D I'm from Moscow. I've moved to the States with my family when I was 15. I was married to an African, that's when I first started posting on this board. We're divorced now though. By the way I'm very happy for you that you met Bryant. You guys are both very nice young people, and a cute couple. I wish you all the best. 8)

okkk, ochen' interesno! :) thanks for sharing all that, i was really wondering about you, because of your nick name. :D when have you been in Russia last time? I remember, many Russians in tne States, who moved long time ago, they still call Russia "Sovetskiy Soyuz" and still think, that we have nothing here. for instance, they were really surprised that I know how to use the chopsticks (they thought i saw it for the first time in my life lol)
oh thank you....yea, i'm happy to meet him. he's really good and special. so...hope to see him in the reality as well! :D
and by the way, where do you live in the US? (sorry, if i'm too curious  )

Actually I don't call Russia by the old name, because when I was little and still in Moscow the whole democratic movement was going on, and my family was politically involved. So I feel very strongly about the new democratic Russia. I follow the news, my favorite paper is www.rg.ru. But to be honest with you I don't like the Russian internet. There is so much trash and porn on there, and people in forums are so rude and nasty. By the way I live in NYC, we can meet up if you ever visit here. The last time I was in Russia was in 2005 and I couldn't get enough of looking at handsome Russian guys! :D Especially the OMON troopers in their uniforms? Hot! :D

If you want, let's keep in touch. I'll be happy to share my "American experience." Go to my other forum http://forum.rosjanie.pl and send me a private message, my username there is Masza. I don't want to post my email address on here.

It doesn't sound good Hypestyle. It sounds like the classical e-mail scam to me. The scam is probably going to come when she claims to be getting her passports and visa. She's probably going to say there was a problem with the passport process, and needs a little help fixing the situation (your money). There actually is a pretty effective way of telling if they are a scammer or not. In your e-mail, go down to the bottom to where it says "full headers." click it. after you've done that, you'll be able to see their IP address and e-mail client. what you'll be looking for is something that says "X-Mailer." if you see something next to the X-mailer that says "The Bat!" it's definitely a scam. this article will tell you more about why that is the case:

Unfortunately and fortunately it's a scam. Whomever this is basically told you their whole life story in one letter. Don't even reply...
