Upcoming IR slate

2 years from now, damn!

Let's hope she won't drop out. When Taylor dropped out I went back to my original choices being Margot Robbie or Anya Taylor-Joy.
I mean she is following Rene Russo and Faye Dunaway. I have to familiarize myself with her work to see how she'll do.

I thought he spin the block on Hailee Stenfield to be frank. But Adria is a good pick

I just got done watching the series finale of "Power". They had some post-end credits clips. that were sneak peeks to promote upcoming spinoffs. 1 of them was this flashback scene to when Ghost, Tommy, & Angela were teens in the 90's:

Pass on anything "Power" related.

Worst ending in awhile
And off the top Tasha is the embodiment of a no good opportunist ungrateful piece of shit.
When you look at the whole story in total all dude wanted to do was leave the dangerous ass drug game alone but that wasn't something she wanted so dude ended up with a woman who supported his legit lifestyle. He still wanted to take care of his kids and Tasha but she was all butthurt that he evolved and she didn't. Every time they called dude selfish I'm like are we watching the same show. He covered up a murder for his shitty ungrateful son who got his daughters killed. He saved Tommy even when they were beefing he took care of Tasha's annoying as mom. Where was the selfishness? Because dude wanted a life not filled with murder and drugs?
Smh

I wonder who's playing Angela's sister in this spin-off.

Starz has finally greenlit the "Power" prequel series that's supposed to be about the origins of Ghost, Tommy, & Angela as teens:

I like Russell but this is an upgrade for sure. Adria is mega hot!

I didn't realize how sexy and beautiful she is until I saw her in Hitman.

Jessica Chastain and Nnamdi Asomugha who plays her husband in the new AppleTV+ series The Savant

She's executive producing. Keeping up with the trend of non-black Female Actresses that are
Producing & Starring in roles where they cast a Black Male as their Love Interest.

Elzabeth Olsen
Kristen Bell
Jennifer Connelly
Vanessa Hudgens
Kaley Cuoco
Florence Pugh
Roselyn Sanchez
Anna Paquin
Katie Holmes
Reese Witherspoon
Natalie Portman
Sydney Sweeney

I know there's more I'm just drawing blanks right now. lol.
But I LIKE this trend!

They doing what they really want and this will continue.

Kristen Bell and Elizabeth Olsen in particular seem to really have a push towards it.
In Olsen's latest film "The Assessment" there are no white men, ZERO, all of the men including ones she is with or has sexual history with are Black or Brown men, even the other couples shown the husband is always Black. Was not expecting that.

He's not Black
That name suggests otherwise. He looks to be Afro Latino or Afro South Asian. Wouldn't surprise considering he is from Canada. We have to stop limiting what a "black" man is. To be honest even Sub Saharan Africans can often not sed the term black, as if its more of an American or western thing.

His mom is British/Hungarian and his dad is Nigirian/Cuban. So I guess your right.

Honestly I am surprised that this show doesn't star Burnham's Son...feels like that would be the obvious connective tissue. Given how the last season of Disco Ended.

Do we know how long Academy takes place after Disco not counting the final flashforward? @kalel32688 @JamalSpunky @Jeffrey Tripp

From TrekMovie (https://trekmovie.com/2025/07/27/st...tting-and-how-the-ship-is-part-of-the-school/):

We knew going in that the show was set in the 32nd century after the events of Star Trek: Discovery. This is a time when the Federation and Starfleet are rebuilding after the devastation caused by “The Burn.”
