Long story short, they made up. Groom realized he was out of line and didn't remember most of the night. He just know he said some fucked up shit. I'm not drinking with him a for a good while.

Co-sign. It blows my mind they're are black folks (i.e. Shea Butter Twitter) who look at Black Economic Empowerment as just some Hotep shit.
 
I don't drink, and I admit I am crazy in an eccentric way...and yet...I'm not psychotic. You've experienced an outlier.

I've had too many examples in my life of how someone's TRUE feelings come out when they drink. I feel seeing how a guy is when he's drunk will say a lot about him as a person.

But, you have to make sure he doesn't drink TOO much and too often. There's a very fine line to that test. LOL.
