The Legacies writers are priming the pump for Rafael fans with how they had Hope's hands on him purposely. I'm sure it was deliberate foreshadowing.

I'm just hoping they balance out the writing much more than they have . . . there MUST be several new girls for MG and Kaleb both to address. The Lizzie thing for MG is just tired after all he did last year to gain her affections . . . MOVE ON!!

I can't for the life of me watch another maddening episode of Legacies. I'd just as soon ingest sulfuric acid - on purpose. [IMG]

Last night's episode was pretty good as the previews I put up last week suggested.

I don't think MG is that kind of vampire to be a ladies' man like that.
It appears they are setting up MG and Lizzy possibly towards the the season 2 finale but I don't want to jump to conclusions. So I don't have a problem with it when it looks like they're setting it up. Let them write the story. Plus they are the fan favorite 'ship' over Hope and Landon among the fans.

Speaking of Emma Roberts, to me she's just normally an above average-looking chick to me, but on "AHS: 1984" she's looking BAD AF to me.

Yeah to me only at certain times she is attractive and in this season she most definitely is. But I guess that's her character we find attractive. lol.

Watching the season finale of "American Horror Story: 1984" right now...Brooke & ghost Ray had another moment in a couple of back-to-back scenes.

The brunette/black hair really works for Emma Roberts on "AHS: 1984" instead of her usual blonde hair. That might be why she looks so good on "AHS: 1984".

Yeah that was a beautiful moment and thing he did. Just like the ending. Which is rare for AHS. But they were nicely done. A lot of people became big time Ghost Ray fans online. lol.

Julie Pec won't allow it. Black men are good for tension not actually heart throbes in her world.

    This is Netflix
Outside of one or two originals they don't like casting heterosexual black men in romantic lights. Usually their MO is gay best friend. To All The Boys I Loved, Sex Education, On The Block, The Perfect Date, Sierra Burgess Is A Loser etc those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. Its very weird.

    Just their Original Content:
Let It Snow, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, The Innocents, CandyJar, Little Boxes, Set it up, IO, Slasher, Bird Box, Samantha!, Haunting Of Hill House, Someone Great

and those are just the ones I have seen and can remember. And the IR ones as well. I get what you're trying to say but Netflix does have a better track record at having content with black male love interest than other streaming and network shows. I trust Netflix more than I trust any of the others.

    That list is horseshit fam
Let it Snow kind of black guy Latin girl kinda
Jessica Jones they had a quick fling it wasn't a series spanning romance or even one season.
Luke Cage was with Rosario Dawson who by all accounts is afro Latina just a lighter skin black girl
    Candy Bar I'll give you
Slasher is a Canadian based show so Netflix doesn't get the credit
Bird box is a late in the game.beyond her prime Bullock don't count that's like old broads in porn finally deciding to even look at black men after their white audience replaced them with younger women
Haunting of Hill House don't count. Dude who the other sister fantasized about but never smashed got more screen time. I don't count ancillary background romances.
Didn't see the other ones you mentioned.

Saw the first episode lost interest quick when the only black dude was being used as a plot device to get to his wife liking women. Black male sacrifice I ain't for it

I think the black dude that's Megalyn E.'s character's Husband & Brittany Snow's character are supposed to be an eventual endgame couple. I watched this week's episode (season 1, episode 4) and that's still an ongoing storyline. But it is fucced up the drama that's gonna have to happen for them to get together.

You said romantic light. Didn't name any of the criteria you just mentioned (especially about being IR specific. lol.) and some of it is subjective. They are seen as a romantic interest for the ladies involved and they are also strong straight males with good intentions. And more importantly NO LOVE TRIANGLES! lol.

Slasher was purchased by Netflix so yeah my bad it's not original content. And Nell and Arthur if you seen Haunting On Hill House was a big part of her character's arch. It was an ensemble cast which is why they each had their own backstories, episodes and scenes. The creator himself said it was an ensemble and it played out as such.

That episode of Nell and Arthur was beautiful and had elements that is rare for an IR couple involving a black man and fans love it. Nell had the love interest on the show basically. You rarely ever see a true love story between black men and white women on shows with the exception of The Good Place.

And how is Shameik Moore a "kind of black guy". lol. What?

I meant Let it Snow. Kind of. Sorry should have used punctuation.
Again stop it with the Haunting of Hill House they had like 3 scenes when the met the wedding and his death. If he had more than 6 minutes of screen time I'd be surprised

You know what and people including I would agree on the very little time there was... but context matters. Even though you are right there wasn't a lengthy time dedicated to it I'm pretty sure you are understating those numbers. And how much of it was a part of Nell's story arch. https://tvline.com/2018/12/04/the-haunting-of-hill-house-nell-arthur-love-story-screen-time-netflix/

But As the fanbase of Hill House online under the hashtag and the creator taking notice of how much it resonated with audiences with only around 15 minutes. It was a memorable part of Haunting On Hill House. People still talk about them. So what your searching for is subjective and different from not only audience reaction but Nell's actual story arch.

And again you said 'heterosexual black men in romantic lights'. Arthur was Nell's romantic light. If it was actually under six minutes and three scenes then I would agree with you but as someone that remembers the episode and the scenes it wasn't the case and it played out over the entire episode:

But if about 15 minutes and around 6 scenes can get you guys to throw this away my goodness! I'm glad not everybody with ya'll. lol.
