This is totally off subject, but that clip reminded me that I actually watched that Batman movie a couple weeks ago with my kids, who've never seen any of the original series, and it was hysterical. It wasn't meant to be that amusing I know, but the differences in language usage and changes in societies views made it highly amusing. I didn't recall it having social messages either, but then as a kid I probably wouldn't have noticed.
