What's going on with you?

Aboslutely seething right now. My roommates, after having been warned for weeks, just told me that if nate's dad comes over for dinner tomorrow it will be "an inconvenience" for them. And that they'd rather not have that, so I was told to keep him at Nate's house. Because they live here too and I should respect that.

Now...if I pay my goddamn rent, how the hell is it disrespectful to have my boyfriend's father over for a nice dinner since it's the first time I'm meeting him and I'd like to get to know him in a place that isn't overflowing with video games and has an unusable kitchen table? Especially when I told them my plans fucking 3-4 weeks ago and they hadn't a single issue then??? Especially when they spend their time high in their bedroom and barely step out except to leave, which is why the living room/dining room is empty 98 percent of the time?????

I'm just so pissed. Monday I'm requesting to be moved to a different apartment. If anyone has been disrespected in this apartment it's been me, dealing with their trying to boss me around, taking my things, expecting me to clean up after them, and their goddamn crazy ass pms mood swings that are made all the more hellacious because they're both ghetto as hell, and have attitudes to prove it.

Fuck. This. I'm out. If I'm not out of this apartment within the next week I'mma choke a bitch like Wayne Brady.

....scored me a WW last night.

Really wasn't expecting to, not in 'hunt mode' by any means, I didn't even wanna go to a damn club in the first place, I only went to shut my mates up about me being an unsociable git all the time and never replying to invites.

Anyway at one point,after dancing my black ass off I grabbed my beer and popped out for some fresh air, there was an absolutely gorgeous blonde young lady already there, smoking a ciggy. She gave me a little smile, my heart went "Badoomp", I smiled back and remembered a promise I made to a female friend a few weeks ago...

"Jay, next time you see something in a woman you like, promise me you will NOT keep your mouth shut, you'll man up and compliment the lady"..

"Ok, will do".

...and I'm a man of my word - however painful, and this was. What do I tell her? "I think you're cute?"? I'm gonna sound like Forrest Gump!! So, I grit my teeth, and steel myself to expel corniest, shittiest line this girl has heard in her life. I check to see if her left hand has any rings which might have protruding jewels turned inwards to her palm - because that's the hand she's going to hit me with. I smile limply, and mosey up to her.

"Excuse me, hope you don't mind, but I promised a female friend of mine that, (slowed voice down) when I see woman I think has a nice feature, I will tell her. I think you have a very pretty smile." There, I stayed true to my word.

I move me head back slightly, at least it's moving away from her oncoming hand, and grit my teeth; a blow to the face hurts less when you clench your jaw.

"Awww, that's so sweet of you!". She puts her hand out, grabs my arm, pulls me in and gives me a peck on the cheek.

"Hi, I'm Vanessa!"

"My name's Jaybee".

"It was so nice of you to say that!" My smile comes back again, more out of relief than success.

"Yeah, it's difficult because you probably get that same line from men all the time, I'm just glad I didn't offend you".

"Nawww, your friend is so right!

Her eyes really sparkle, they're the kind of green you don't usually get without contact lenses.

"Ok, if you're not offended...can I tell you another?"

She laughs and blushes, "Oh, alright!"

"Uhmmm...and you really have nice eyes. Are they contact lenses?"

"Nahhh, my Dad's Swedish, his are the same colour"

"And your Mum?"

"Turkish"

"You know I love kebab...

Without recounting the entire convo, we went back inside, the DJ put some Michael Jackson on (inevitably!) we boogied away, I was just trying not to watch her body gyrate, but it was a gorgeous sight.

We went to an all-night Turkish eaterie afterwards, had this amazing soup I'd never had before, I tried to pay even more compliments and she laughed hysterically about me trying to work out whether she got her nice legs from her Swedish dad or Turkish mum, cab set off for her place first, we got into a tickling contest in the back of the cab, which I lost (I was sloshed and wasn't as fast as I usually am), get to her flat, she asks if I've ever tried Turkish Coffee. Now, I have, but not for 10 years or so, so I (innocently!!) accept, I did remember I liked the taste. There was - I emphasise - NOTHING else on my mind. Honestly. It was a bit weird when she poured out another glass of red, but it was a Sauvignon, so I wasn't arguing.

Thing is...I only got the coffee at breakfast. Well, that, and her number, and the following big grin..

There is something that bugs me about your black credentials. Could it be that you have told us that you are not black? :smt102 Jaybee, I hope that you recognize your own title for a thread about Obama's 'blackness.' If you don't think that Obama is black enough, what the hell gives you the right to refer to yourself as black when you have neither a black mother or black father? If you don't think Obama is entitled, then you sure as hell aren't.

For real? Damn, they're hella fucked up. Seeing as how all the do is get high and barely leave they're room, and taking your things, they should pretty much be forced to let you continue with your plans. I'd get out soon, too. I wouldn't want to deal with ghetto mufuckas using up other people's shit, and then being shitty about compromising with somebody for one important night. People suck.

Awww, for real? Hope you can get your visa, soon. That waiting period is a bitch. Everything from court dates to visa processes takes hella long. You're lucky you don't have to suffer through the winter, though. Out here, at least in Northern Cali, it gets mad ass cold. At least you get to see your friends again, though. Hope everything works out for ya. :cool:

Nah, I ended up working all night and met Nate's dad in the parking lot of the office at 12:30am. lol Crazy night, too, prior to that. I kinda like my new job. I haven't worn the same uniform twice yet, and I get shuttled who knows where without much warning....Spent the other night working the kitchen at a monument gala. lol

But nah. I can make an easier, and more efficient voodoo doll anyhow...I have access to their hair...but the real question is: does weave count? >.<

Meh. No one's ever accused them of being perfect roommates. Lately they've taken to throwing my ice out of the freezer. I don't even understand that one. All I know is I put 4 ice cube trays in and within hours they were all in the sink. And they've been doing this crap for days.

I'm going to definitely be talking to the housing lady about getting me moved. I'm nervous about getting new roommates, cause ...well, most of the other housing students are predictably young and stupid. Or terribly full of themselves because they're "art students".

But maybe I'll be lucky and find someone cool for once. It'd be lovely. I'm cursed when it comes to roommates.

Doing a long lunch (liquid mainly) for one of my besties and her man who have come back home for a couple of weeks to soak up the sunshine before returning to the UK for the winter. Its been in the low to mid 90's here the last couple of days & looks like its here to stay for the rest of the week...perfect weather to sit outside with a vino or two...!!! :partyman:
 
Working hard.This weekend I was off for 2 days in a row.. so I was very lazy.Also doing lots of thinking. Not really having the time of my life now

Oh, honey. You are more delusional than I thought you were. The emotion that I displayed in my post was one of pity and not jealousy. I wouldn't even have mentioned the girl if you had just responded to my original post instead of ignoring the valid point that I made.

As far as being jealous, I'm seeing a wonderful man who has the most beautiful light brown eyes that I've ever had the privilege to gaze into at night. The best thing about him is that he is 10 times as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside. He is always doing little things for me throughout the day to let me know that he is thinking of me. Of course, I would rather have a drunken one night stand than a meaningful relationship with a good man. :roll:

By the way, I'm curious about something. Is she actually blonde and/or white? Since you are uncertain about the color of your own ass, I'm wondering if you know what race she is. :smt102

1) She's blonde. Don't ask me what shade, being a man I need only remember 8 colours max, including brown. I just know brown roots from golden ones. I'll admit, I wear glasses but before she slid them off my face, I got a good look close-up. And just so we're crystal, even I know the bleach-bottle ain't used downstairs.

2) Tell you what, as you're so fixated with my black ass, I'll fit a mirror to her ceiling when I go over next week, and get her to verify whether my black ass is actually black, brown, yellow or Glow-in-the-Dark green - like a dummy, I forgot to ask her yesterday AND Friday night. After which my black ass will stop ignoring your points, and return here to report her findings.

3) Her vice is tobacco, mine's booze. She didn't touch a drop until we got back to her place on Friday, nor did she have anything but chai (which she loved!) when she came round to mine yesterday.

4) I'm delighted your old fella has so much free time on his hands, Ms McBeal.
