You know how when white people ask "Black people call each other the N word all the time, how come you get so upset when we do it?".... no matter what reason we give for it, the fact is black people generally do not want white people calling us the N word. The C word denigrates a woman to her sexual anatomy. Generally it's taken to mean that a womans value is her vagina. Think about it, you'll hear men and women call men and women a 'pussy', but how often do you hear a guy call another guy a 'c'? Just like with the N word, I don't feel that I should have to explain to white people why it is so offensive for them to use the word. I expect that the fact that they know it is so highly offensive alone is reason enough not to use it. So should be with the C word. If we know that it is highly offensive to women, there's really no reason not to just let it go.

They(as a group/personally) have suffered nothing because of the word and its context. And unlike the N word in the context you used the "c word" is meant to insult but its not because their women its because the person its directed at is being the c word. Men are called that word as well so its not specifically directed at women where as the N word is only directed at black people. You say that "cunt" lacks a historical meaning? Sonny, it's older than nigger. MUCH older and we're talking as far back as 13th century. Now granted, is it as bad as saying nigger? Well, not really. Cunt has the potential to kill off a career, but nigger is definitely a career-killer, even under light circumstances. But, like any symbol or word, the meanings expand or alter pending the times. Cunt was originally used for both men and women, but today, it's predominantly used for women. Nigger, while mainly still used for blacks, it's been modified, both by name and usage by the very people that get offended by it, in a "friendly" way. Hell, even whites can be considered niggers, so are Arabs, Native Indians, and other sorts. Regardless of all that, the words are only as powerful as the individual's reaction towards it.
I explained the context earlier. Cunt in recent history has not been used to dehumanize nor has it ever been legally recognized in this country to deny access to the people it was aimed at. Its like calling a dirty bomb and rifle the smae thing because they're both considered weapons.
Neither has the word, nigger. They are simply words and only the person offended give them such power. Cunt and nigger are, for the most part, relatively the same. Both have psychological reprecussions if you wield it, but societal laws and influences actually hindered the progress of blacks. Not a simple word that's been etched in the mind. Being called something hasn't deterred you from anything. It's the laws during those times which brought great problems to varied peoples.
The word was attached to action it was the same tactic used to dehumanize the jews when they were being killed. Strip away their humanity then you can treat them worst than dogs. Cunt was never used for that. It's more of an individual insult like asshole.
You're making excuses, Andrae. Nothing more. Verbal action is never as strong as the physical action. And secondly, your Jew argument makes no sense at all. Jews weren't "dehumanized" by a verbal word (Kike). Rather, the physical actions towards them were dehumanizing. With blacks, there was a psychological breakdown, less so on the word, and more so on the laws etched in society and the physical actions which were accepted during those times. Again, being called a nigger was only as strong as the person wants it to be.
Ok believe that if you want. Physical action against them is accepted since they aren't one of us and no better way to seperate them from us than by calling them something that only refers to them. It all goes hand in hand. But you win its an excuse. Happy now

Depends on the context I'm not a knee jerk reactionist. I never cower my friend ask around. I just realize now that there is a point where I choose to just let us have our own opinions because either of us are ever swayed
