Yeah, I kinda got offended when she told me what dude looked like but then I thought "that's what he happened to looked like. It can't be helped." Plus, she apologized for making it sound similar to me, so it was fine.

And yeah, it happaned about an hour ago. I had just gotten back inside from talking with my neighbor, his friend and the girl when I posted about it. We were talking and laughing but you can tell she is still shaken up because you can hear her about to break a little. Feel hella bad about this.

Glad you weren't hurt in your situation, Kuno.

One of my "holier than thou" friends said this to me in an email today when I said wasn't getting the flu shot:

Don't take this the wrong way, but you're an idiot. HAHAHAHA!!

Really? I must have missed the memo where the flu shot guarantees you not to get the flu and brings peace on Earth to all men and animals. :roll:

Are you serious? I get a flu shot every year, but it is because I had asthma as a young adult and feel like I should. However, I can't imagine harassing someone for not. That is insane!!! :rolleyes:

It doesn't guarantee anything. They just take an educated GUESS as to which strains of flu will hit that year. If they GUESS wrong you have been immunized against nothing. :p

Regarding work places.........I used to work in a hospital in finance. I had no patient contact whatsoever but for touching their charts during audits......they tried to force our department to take the flu shot. I refused thank you. They took me in a room had my supervisor rough me up (kidding) and I had to sign a piece of paper that I knew it was required and refused. They put it in my personnel file and we all went about our day. They can't force you to put anything in your body. They can strongly suggest it but force no.

It is insane. I mean, really. A lot of people in my life think I should get it because I get colds a lot. I rarely get the flu, it's always colds. I tell them, the flu shot won't help against getting colds.

But in either case, it's my body and if I don't feel I need a flu shot, I shouldn't be made to feel bad about not getting one.

Exactly!! There is zero guarantee that a person still won't get the flu. There are too many flu strains out there to vaccinate against all of them.

But this is the type of reaction I have to put up with every year because I won't get the flu shot.

Some people are so crazy militant about the flu shot.
