depends on the distance to target. a rifle will always win in that department. plus the 5.56 in the rifle is likely to penetrate more types of cover, giving you more flexibility with target takedown.

and, if the action gets close, you can always use the butt of the rifle as a weapon. brush up on your pugil stick ability :cool:

Speaking of guns n' robbing folks, this girl just got robbed in front of my house by some nigga with a gun. This shit is ridiculous. Ain't no shit like this happened in my neighborhood. We tried looking for him but couldn't find him. Of course, when I was looking for him, I didn't know dude had a gun.

Pretty good points. My dad did tell me that I could use his 12 gauge, so I've been thinking about having both on hand. As far as where I'd like the shot to 'penetrate', I know exactly what I'll be aiming for.

I was held up 2 doors from my front door. At 8.45pm, it was a Thursday. First time in my life it ever happened. He had a sawn-off shotgun. Around 18 yrs old. I think I freaked him out a bit by my reaction.
I truly thought he was going to shoot me dead.

The officers aren't armed inside the unit; just when guarding the perimeter. So you have to go through all the weapons training to receivce the Texas commission card.

Oh, and here's some shit, the dude that robbed the girl was young and black. He had messy hair, black jeans and a hoody. I am young, black, have messy hair, wearing black jeans and wearing a hoody right now. Her friend looked at me like "what the fuck?" at first, but then my neighbor told him I was cool. Plus, the robber was way down the street when I stepped outside.

The robber was just posted in front of my neighbor's truck also, like he was waiting outside for them and I don't think him robbing her was a part of the plan.

the Taser model i was looking at has a range of 15 feet, which is pretty short considering the average layout of an apartment or a house. if someone is coming to kill or rob you, id rather be caught with a gun than without. calling the cops is smart, but you still need something for personal defense until they arrive.

It's a nightmare scenario, but when it comes to your life (you only get one), id think you'd want the best options of preserving it.

Oh God, see that's where the reality hits home. You fit the descript. Most crimes by these thugs are of opportunity. If your neighbor was late, the girl wasn't. My robber was a similar description, with a hoodie, and he was high, I could see it in his eyes. I think my accent threw him somewhat, and I kept calling him sweetheart. I bet the girl is still shook up. Did it happen just now just now?

like i said, i was fronting at first. PA is great when it comes to owning firearms. As long as you clear the background checks, they are NOT supposed to restrict you from owning a gun. That's what I read anyway.

With that said, rifles, shotguns, handguns are legal, and it gives you a lot of options to choose from.

I live alone myself and really do not want the burden of taking care of animals.
