Yes.

Your need to express whatever pain you feel by virtue of being black is a sword for striking at any perceived transgression by female members. I say female as they (with the exception of that creepy cuckold motherfucker) constitute the majority of white members on the board.

Oh she went on a date with a white guy, that's a problem that needs to be addressed.

You've pulled that shit so many times. Insecure much?

As I said before, none of us are the perfect ideal of what anyone would like us to be, and I'm certainly critical but don't expect people to bear my cross too.

I thought you mellowed out for a bit after you got a girl, but fuck sometimes you're worse than ever. Give the lecture circuit a rest.

Lol who have I criticized for dating anyone white? Never happened for real. I tease Bookie but thats an old running joke.
And if you dont like what I post feel free to put me on ignore youngin

Well said, Athena. Well said. :smt038:smt038

We all have our own journeys...

BM and BW have been grievously abused and tortured throughout history, there is absolutely no doubt about that. Injustices abound today, even here in the great ol' US of A.

And as much as I agree with what Raider is saying, I feel that I must point out that women are still taken as slaves today, all over the world. There are still women as sexual slaves in the US. This does not in any way diminish what has happened to groups with a history of slavery and I know this will make me again, immensely unpopular. But it's a reality today. Within the US, generally a North American born person who has white skin, can have privelidge based on their skin colour. But unfortunately, having a vagina makes you a target all over the world, including here as well.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/war-against-women/

It doesn't mean one group is suffering more than another, or one group is the greater victim, I simply recognize that we each have our unique journey. I just wish for a day, and I know this is tremendously naive, when humans would treat each other and all living things with at the very least, some basic respect to their right to life.

Let the hate mail begin....

Great post, Tam. Unfortunately, when someone lacks any brevity of empathy, and cannot look past his own struggles, the discussion will be beaten down worse than a dead horse looking for porn to splooge.

No one is dismissing what BM deal with or expecting anyone else to make light of BM's experiences for the sake of "supporting WW". The majority of the women on this site have the utmost love, respect, and appreciation for BM and what they deal with, and for anyone to suggest otherwise is silly.

Truth be told, this site is often not a female-friendly place. Typically, it's the women's contributions and experiences that are trivialized by certain male members who seem to hold being female and white against us for some reason. We have more to offer than tits, ass, and ego-stroking, yet those things are typically what get the most positive male responses around here. And, at other times, it seems like some of the men either forget or just don't care that this site is meant for us too; sometimes it's like some forget we're even here.

It should NOT be some contest about who has it worse or some 'us vs. them' gender and/or race competition. What it should be about is RESPECT for one another as PEOPLE. We ALL have something of value to contribute to this site, and every member should be able to share without having their experiences mocked or dismissed. Pain and struggle are part of the HUMAN experience, and none of us has any right to dismiss another's pain just because it's source is different than our own. Truth is, without walking in others' shoes, you don't know what they've been through or the effect it's had on them. Love, compassion, and respect for one another as HUMAN BEINGS should be priority. The jacked up divisive and derisive mentality needs to go, because it brings nothing worth having to this site or to life experience itself.

Well said but isnt there something to be said when certain things are presented. I consider myself a progressive and just want plain equality for all fuck race and gender just treat me like a person.
And lets also be fair the shit with the men comes up more because like I said before people like us are getting executed weekly so its bound to come with certain emotions. Trust me I don't like to get on a soapbox and constantly talk about this stuff but they are killing us. Its fucking exhausting to constantly think about this shit to have to peotest for my human rights. So when the discussion is focused on that and someone derails the conversation it feels like yet another person trivializing our pain. It may not be the intention but it is the feeling. I'd rep you but I'm all out. Good post Tam

You're right. Let's get off the soapbox and stop killing each other. (The following link is from the WHO, sorry, not YouTube. ;) )

"Gender-Based Violence (GBV) is one of the most widespread human rights abuses and public health problems in the world today, affecting as many as one out of every three women."

http://www1.paho.org/English/AD/GE/VAWHealthSector.htm

Damn, that's a lot of women. But hell, who needs to address that on a site half dedicated to women?

The intergrated approach seems like the only feasible way to address this. I find that the masses don't like gender specific laws just like they don't like race specific laws. It lends to treating people like others ie not the mainstream.
Can't lie the more I read this shit you have to wonder is there any hope for us

No. Humans are dicks. Always have been, always will be. I have no hope for us as a human race. In fact, I literally believe we might even end this whole mess sooner rather than later. But what do I know, my crystal ball is in the shop.

I don't believe that some humans don't want much other than to live in peace. Unfortunately assholes are the loudest and most visible. Too bad we can't eliminate that gene.

Lots of us have been trying g to say this for literally years but it always become weird. It hurst my heart that women struggles become so trivialized on here by many men. Its like some men on here seem to think it takes away from the bm struggle somehow. It's two different struggles, not to be compared, for obvious reasons.
I think the vast majority of the women on here has shown that again and again, but seldom get a compassionate response in turn when women issues are adressed.
I think no women on here is not aware of White privilege and the outrageous suffering ofnythe black community as a whole, and yet, we women get dismissed more often than not when we voice women struggles.

I don't think any regular women poster on here is trying to compare our struggles with the bm struggles, its an entirely different issue, and not comparable in NY way, shape, or form; but it should not be dismissed as much as it gets on here. After all, this is a site for bm and ww and I agree with Tam, that seems to be forgotten at times. The one reason I take breaks from here. And yes, I'm being repetitive on purpose, because unfortunately its needed.

When some men complain that not more women are adding to some discussions this is the exact reason they don't. It usually ends up with ' us and them' type response so damn if we do, damn if we don't.

I wish this place was more equally supportive at times, its a long time since it was.
Most of the time I dont care, because men I meet in real life dont act like many men on here.

I still love this community though :-)

Tammy , Fg, Athena..I loved to read your posts, so refreshing.:smt038

On another note, my mother was here in the US for three weeks, with travel for work in Orlando And Denver, she came along and I got some vacation in with her at Colorado with stuff in Georgetown CO and surroundings including horse back rides. I wanted to spend more one on one time with her as I have not seen her in 2 years.

My half sisters boyfriend is landing tomorrow pm to stay with me. He is applying for a Swedish companion visa, he is american. He moved there (sweden) in January and they did not check what is needed, and apparently, he needs to apply outside the US. Timelines are a minimum of 2 months so this will be fun to have stranger living in my house.

I am also applying for jobs in my company in Europe so keep your prayers and thoughts with me that I succeed.

Nice! Good luck! I'm a dual citizen (US and EU), so if you need papers maybe we could get hitched in a gay state, LOL! :smt077 :smt025

What's going on is rampant racism. I'm not denying that. Living here in the US has shown me how much racism is really alive and well. It's not nearly this bad back home. But if you think women are in any way shielded because they are white, I would a million times disagree. I knew this conversation would become a "who has it worse" situation as soon as I wrote it. But I am trying to speak my mind, trying to open up here on this forum and contribute something of substance. I knew I'd get shot down by several posters for my opinion. But there it is.

You mean in Italy? I think it's worse there.

OK i am too lazy to read through allthe drama but all i gotta say is unless you are in the shoes of someone you cannot dismiss their concerns with a wave of the hand. Black men have issues and White women too have issues, the problem crops up when people start equating issues when they shouldnt. If an issue concerning black men crop up, do NOT bring up issues concerning a white women in that thread cus it would seem like you are trying to equate and in the same vein if women are having issues Black men should NOT dismiss it by saying blacks got it worse.

Tdk..tries so hard to prove he is black by dissing the women on the board but he wants to date them? Knew this shit was coming ..call me a prophet.

This dude cant or will not recognize hes not the only person this planet.

We wasted too much time with bullshit he put out. Hes nothing more than attention whore.
