Newspaper Publishes Gun Owners' Names and Addresses

Honestly I don't trust shit the NRA says. Matter of fact I hold them and the KKK on the same level of veracity.

Think critically in all things, not only those opinions you don't agree with.

Funny thing about it is that most of the shit I know about the NRA is from you and Good Love talking about them. Before that I knew little to nothing about them. Thanks for making them relevant on wwbm.com

The reality is the Founding Fathers and leading Colonial thinkers from the 18th century were against the idea of a professional army, in part because of economic and ideological reasons.

We don't defend our national interests with militias anymore. The right to bear arms for the Founding Fathers was directly linked to the idea of a well armed militia, the crux of the Colonial army.

The 2nd Amendment is outdated IMO.

Those quotes are all over the place. Quotations don't add legitimacy to your point. I could find an equal number of citations of those who had the opposite point of view.
People throw around the names of the architects of the Declaration of Independence like they were the 12 Apostles. They were just men, some of them brilliant, but hardly infallible.
Just because Thomas Jefferson said something doesn't mean he's beyond reproach.
So you're a a proponent of high capacity clips..for 'self defense', I assume against that theoretical gang of ten you might be attacked by in your own home.

What about silencers?? Should those be legal for gunowners to buy too?? There are hunting applications actually for some silencers, but that's not their primary purpose.

I just don't like guns man. I'm not trying to take someone else's away, but I would like there to be more restricted access for them.

You're so fond of quoting Jefferson, I'll give you one carved on his memorial;

"...as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors."

The 2nd Amendment is over 200 years old and had everything to do with preserving the right to form militias, not private gun ownership. It's time IMO this Amendment was updated.

Dude you are just plain full of shit. I showed you quotes where they said that the right to bear arms was not only for a militia but a tool to keep government honest.
I personally dont give a shit about the founding fathers but you felt it was worth mentioning them when it suited your agenda and now that it doesnt you want to turn tail.
I will let you in on a secret I absolutely fucking hate guns. I hatw the idea that their are things out there that can snuff out life with the squeeze of a trigger. It breeds cowardice and desperation but the unfortunate reality is they exist and have become a necesseray evil. My hatred and dislike of guns will not make them disappear, if my disdain were so powerful we would all live free of the threat of small men who seek to oppress and enslave us with fear and tyranny. Unfortunately thats not how it is. We libe in a world where good men and women have to accept they too might have to on day become monsters to protect themselves against even bigger ones.

I'm far from full of shit.;)

You're the one who dropped the 2nd Amendment and then pulled the TJ card.

Have a nice day TDK.

Um no I didnt. You started the whole 2nd ammendment debate on post 367 not me. I rebutted but nice try chump. Stop conflating me with GL's love of using the NRA as a talking point. Just becuase I support gun ownership doesnt mean I support them or their message.

AGREE 100%!

Gun owners are not monolithic thinkers, despite the insistence by those who hate guns...and gun owners. We come from ALL WALKS OF LIFE, and exist in every corner of the WORLD.

Because a military or police department has never killed hoards of innocent people.... wait

This all stems from unbridled fear and the desperate need to feel like you're in control. I know boba or gl will say that's why gun owners want guns but I think the major difference is that we believe giving complete control to the government has never really worked out for the people and even more importantly heavy gun regulations don't really mean shit to people who intend to do the wrong thing. Unless the agenda is to dismantle manufacturing and allow the government to go from home to home and confiscate guns with heavy sanctions on those who own it I don't see how this makes anything better or more safe. Again we have real life examples like Chicago or even whole countries like Mexico where regulation doesn't do shit for the safety of the people.

As clear as common sense can get my friend. They are asking you to hand over your guns because they don't trust you, but by handing over your guns you would have to trust them. FUCK THAAAT! Makes no sense at all.

beasty , I have been owning your ass from the first post you engaged me. TDK, kissed my ring finger when I showed him what regulations I would suggest.

let me just back up my shit.....with post. also show me in any post I put up where I wanted to confiscate guns from owners. also, even general mchrystal

agree withg me on assault rifles

here is your side

number 1) how is it harassing? if you are a proud gun owner and its public record then embrace it. you guys are always making the argument if the criminals knew that if the city was full of gun owners the crime rate will drop. so there you go....

number 2) america 34 gun related deaths aday......britian below 50 a year.

Suggestions for gun control/restrictions/regulations:

1) owner can not have clips that hold more than 10 rounds.

2) ban on all assault weapons

3)No multiround burst action weapons. (all weapons are to be single shot actions...similar to bolt action rifles. (dont have to be bolt action but in bolt action are only allow one round to be shot [per pull of the trigger).

4) all weapons sold private and through retail must be registered with the state and backround checks must be done.

5) mental evaluations must be done yearly and/or on every sale of a gun. (based on israel gun laws)

6) all first time owners must go through gun course to be certified. recertifications done periodically. (based on israel gun laws)

7) have a federal and a local backround check.

8) any criminal violent arrest and/or conviction or documentation will get you banned from owning a weapon including: domestic violence arrest, restraining orders, disorderly conduct, drunk driving record would have you banned from owning a weapon.

9) any sale to another individual without following these procedures will be held liable for any crime associated with the weapon in question and could face charges equal to the crime committed in which the weapon in question was used.

10) all guns and rounds to have a bar code and entered into a national database. each round will match to the gun registered so it can be traced to the owner.

11) federal tax at a 200% rate on all rounds and guns.

israel allows only 50 rounds to civilians for life. military people the same in private life....per cnn

Its one thing to publish the amount of gun owners out there but publishing names and addresses is persecution. It's singling out plain and simple.
We don't do that shit for drunk drivers and people who break the speed limit and they are responsible for ten times the amount of deaths per year.

All your provisions for gun control are reasonable and mostly already done but the tax thing is stupid. People will just buy black market bullets since the actual cost of making bullets hasn't gone up. Its incredibly cheap and people will make money off of that. All your gun provisions fall under not wanting people to have assault rifles which to me is fine or if they are allowed to have them they should have to jump through more hoops to get them like the difference between a regular drivers license and a CDL. Even though I don't see how they can really enforce it though
hello, also people are buying guns on the black market NOW...its call illegal gun sales/gun running. damn!!!!!

THE TAX THING WOULD MAKE IT MORE EXPENSIVE FOR THE BAD GUYS TO BUY THE GUNS. THE VALUE OF ILLEGAL GUNS ARE MARKED 5x THE STORE BOUGHT PRICE. HELLO!!!! IS ANYONE HOME? ITS CALLED MAKING IT MORE EXPENSIVE TO BE A CRIMINAL. PRICE THE GUNS OUT THE MARKET....IF POSSIBLE. DONT MAKE IT EASIER...MAKE IT HARDER......

conflate? let me deflate your rhetoric.....

1) if you had been following my posts...I have been advocating gun restrictions such as people owning military style weapons, high capacity clips and banning people with mental issues and violent police records. I spelled that out before and even your boy TDK stated " I agree with all except the tax part". hand guns and hunting rifles are cool with me....

2) zimmerman had a violent past.....domestic abuse andf fighting cops. he was a socalled law abiding citizen and another law abiding citizen died because of his right to protect his side walk from an evil skittle-ice tea- carrying mad man.

3) your right to own a gun should not supercede my right to live. people fire guns in the air on the 4th of july and dont think that those bullets come back down. http://jonathanturley.org/2010/01/0...while-in-church-with-family-on-new-years-eve/
(4 year old kid in church on the 4th was killed )
The round was fired from an AK-47 and at first the parents did not know that Marquel was shot. Marquel’s mother, Nathalee Peters, heard a small scream and saw the boy drop his game.

"It drives me crazy to see people firing guns in celebration in various countries. There has long been a debate over whether the large numbers of injuries associated with falling bullets was true. What is known is that bullets are more lethal if fired at an angle rather than straight up. However, even a bullet fired straight up (not the case in Marquel’s death), can be lethal according to many experts. One of the best explanations that I could find is from Cecil Adams at Straightdope. After looking at a famous study by General Julian Hatcher in 1962, Adams writes......"

4) abortion ?
==========================================================

gun advocates believe any restriction is a violation of their constitutional rights. smh

a lot.....but not all gun advocates are extremely emotional and irresponsible when it comes to this issue.

There should always be background checks. Full auto weapons should be restricted as they are and it should be illegal for us to have flamethrowers. Which I think it is. Other than that all hand held weapons should remain legal to law abiding citizens as long as they are not explosives.

There you have it Beasty's pro 2and amendment policy.

according to bliss and tdk....you are in violation

If youre worried about youre right to live there are things putting your life in danger way more than guns.

It is safe to say we agree on more than what we disagree and we could easily come to an agreement if we were the law makers. You and most of the people on the antigun want more regulation period without concern for the 2and amendent rights. What do I look like restricting myself to one 6 shooter knowing that gangs and militias are real and so is hate. I don't think about it often but that don't mean I should be a sitting duck. What is wrong with having 2 glocks with 13 round mags? Give me a break.

One day you might lose it and shoot up a Denny's lol
Dudes like GL truly believe that citizens are better off as sitting ducks because they arent comfortable with guns. Its sad

yeah, as long as its not your family member its cool huh?

loughner shot 31 rounds in 15 seconds killing 6 and wounding 13. you do the math.

“A gun in the home is 22 times more likely to kill a family member or friend than to kill an intruder,” http://www.theblaze.com/stories/201...ots-gift-cards-in-exchange-for-your-firearms/

if a guy is robbing your house ... do you think for a hot second he will stick around andc have a gun fite with you...NO. if that gun fight last more than two shots fired 3 the most ......he is there on business (you) not your TV.
according to you guys thats

http://media.sdreader.com/img/photos/2012/08/28/otay.jpg

Who cares what he is there for if he has a gun he is getting shot!

sooooo then you got mad about me saying not having more than 10 rounds or 5.....

I didnt say take away your guns...so how am I making you a sitting duck? how is it unreasonable? why is it having an 100 reasonable?

also I never ever said take away guns but ban semis. also second amendment says " well regulated malitia"

regulated is a key word.

if thats the case then why do you have 2?
u are 22x more likely to kill a family member than a thief.

Oh Im not done.

100 round clips are silly, but an AR comes with a 30 round clip and they can be changed out in 2 seconds hardly more scarier than a few 30 round clips. The problem is when you start to limit clip sizes you have people come up with ridiculous numbers like 10. 10?? Hell that defeats the purpose of having a AR. They would not even be fun at the range anymore. And why the hell do you want to limit clip sizes on handguns?? The only handgun that comes with a some what large round capacity is the 9mm, hardly a weapon of mass destruction.

dude I just showed you why but you cant put up a decent reason on why a person should have 30 rounds on a hand gun.

so explain why should you need a 30 round clip.

What next? Why do I need more than 500 horses under my hood? Why do I need more than one source of pussy?

horse power in a car is made to kill people? I believe having a fast car wasnt built to kill people. banging more than one woman isnt assault ....thats between consensual people. the kids getting shot at that school didnt consent to that...nor did the adults.

just answer the question. why do you need 30 rounds or 100? why is it unreasonable to just cap at 10?

why are you deflecting?

A nissan GTR was not built to help criminals escape from Cops but it is possible for that to happen. Just like guns were not built to use against innocent people, or they would have never been legal to begin with. Fact is I can beak the law by exceeding the speed limit in a fast car, with your logic why should we allow manufacturers to produce cars that go faster than the 55mph speed limit? Answer that?

the logic is that there arent any meaningful regulations and restrictions. again you are saying its ok that loughner holding 30 rounds and its ok to snuff 6 and injure 13. thus his hit rate 19/31. thus if he had just 10 maybe just maybe over 1/2 of the people would be alive and not injured.

now explain why should a person need 30?

we have regulations on manufactures....seat belts and cars must meet govt regulations for accidents. now explain why shouldnt the gun manufacturer?

also there are speed limits (car regulations on drivers) . The car must be registered on every sale. why cant a gun?

I will be more than happy to the very moment you explain why a person needs a car that goes faster than the speed limit. :smt039

I will answerthat when you answer my questions. you have not answere those and I answered tghe manufacture question now you answer mine.

seems like you cant....is that why you continue to deflect?

wise people speak because they have something to say...fools speak just to say something

I havent missed anything yet.....showing your ass getting intellectually pimped slapped

we have regulations on manufactures....seat belts and cars must meet govt regulations for accidents. now explain why shouldnt the gun manufacturer?

Why does to gov need to know what guns I have if I own them legally? Is that so a devious mind working for the Gov can use that info against me, like mabe to put that into the newspaper so the antigun folks can discriminate against me? Or mabe just in case a dictator takes over he knows who to kill first?

answer the question

Who said the manufacturer does not have regulations to meet? where did you get that from

just answer the question. why do you need 30 rounds ? why do you believe that regulations are tyrannical?

just answer that.

Yeah, I am a fool for not trusting people who I don't know? Yeah ok I rather be a proud fool than a dead one.

why do you need a 30 round clip?

also is this your leader?

do you think they give a damn if those kids got killed? or even you?

I dont trust the milita dudes, the gov, zimmerman, or you. The best way to handle that is to let you all have your rights until you fuck that up. Zimmerman obviously fucked up.

yeah ok, but why do you need 30 rounds?

Im not finished.
The problem with you anti-gun people is that you refuse to be honest about what this is really about. You claim to be afraid of how many guns out there and think limiting clip size and restricting the law abiding will some how make you feel safer when the real issue is you refuse to see the nature of people.
You think nicely regulated laws will keep things like Sandy Hook and Aurora from happening when the reality is that removing the instrument of death from those hell bent on death have never been successful before so why would it now? Cowardly and/or insane people will always find a way. We can not hide from them all the time, there will be a point where we are forced to confront them. Giving all rights and powers to someone else praying they always do the right thing is childish and naive. How many times do we need to see examples where a government takes the rights of the people away when they see fit? A small concentration of powerful people who have shown us over and over that they could give a fuck less about the people are suppose to care about our safety? Motherfucka please. And save the arguments that if a government wanted to take out the people they would send the marines and just carpet bomb the fuck out of the area. Strategically that wouldn't make sense but if it came down to it I would much rather be able to shoot back than to under my bed like a coward praying that someone else saves me.
I think the problem a lot of you have is that you fail to realize that their is no such thing as safety. You're in danger all the times just sometimes more so than others.

As for GL dumb ass question why do I need a 30 round clip? So I have 30 opportunities to take out a motherfucka who is trying to harm me.
Again all you "your right to own a gun shouldn't infringe on my right to live" whiners how about you take that fight to companies who pollute the fuck out of your food and water which kill hundreds of thousands to millions per year but since its not on the news all the time you geniuses don't know it huh.
Shit if your right to live is so important. No more alcohol no more individual driving only public transportation. Its cheaper and a lot more SAFE. No more knives bigger than someone's palm what the hell do you need with knives bigger than that for unless you're a butcher we gotta people safe dammit.

Go live in a bubble if you want to that's fine but don't try to require me to do it as well and rely solely on the altruism of other people to do the right thing by me. Its childish and ridiculous.

this mofo... 30 opportunities? mofo plz. a cop hit innocent bystanders in a gun fight at the emperior state building last year......trained seals miss and your ass talking like you on point....despite trained mofo fucking up

yeah, a dea agent fucking up in a classroom full of kids and he shoots himself...you expect me to give you 30 chances to george zimmerman me. fuck you

now, kids are seeing first hand how easy a fuck up can happen and now they are not believing him if that other gun is empty.

fool plz...your ass will shoot your own child by accident....(like that never happened in america)

Please SHOW ME where they said foreign tyrant? It was very clear they were talking about any government that wanted to infringe on the rights of their own people. Did you actually read any of the quotes I put up?
And that musket comparison is always the analogy of the poorly informed and semi-logical. The arms they were talking about was clearly comparable to what the military had at THAT TIME. So naturally that would continue as time progressed. It comes with the understanding that you do not completely hand over your ability to protect yourself to someone else.
And the issue for a lot of gun owners is when they hear more reasonable gun regulations it means even though I have never done anything wrong I will be treated as if I did or I might do something while those with the most ill intentions will skip the system and get their guns. Not saying that regulations shouldn't exist but a lot of the regulations proposed won't stop spree killings which is what this is really about. People are desperate to feel safe in an unsafe world.

seems like you cant....is that why you continue to deflect?

I did not say I need it. Why do the gangs need 30 rounds? why do the militas need 30 rounds? soon as they give up their shit mabe I will think about giving up my right to the same.

talking about moonwalking....LOL

gun rabbits .... smh

in other words .......ok there is no need for hand guns with 30 rounds and its not about destroying the right to bear arms...its about common sense. ;)

its cool though:)

I googled it and you're right its a fake but please show me the citation and source where it was made up by the NRA sir. I have seen no evidence of that.

And lets not forget about the purpose of this thread. A media source went out of its way to publicly shame people for owning guns. That's what creates this kind of defensiveness not the fucking NRA. People trying to ostracize gun owners for trying to protect themselves because some dummy believes knowing that if the dude down the street has a pistol license they'll be able to get out of Denny's in time if he walks in their with an attitude read to "shoot the place up"
It's ludacris fear mongering and there are already regulations to keep people from doing the things you are so damn worried about. If you buy a gun and modify it to be fully automatic that is against the law and your ass is going to jail.
And no one here is against background checks, no one has fought you on that so I have no clue why you keep bringing it up. Same with registering guns.
As far as high capacity magazines why the fuck should I not be allowed to have that? If I want 30 chances to gun down some else before they gun me down why shouldn't I be able to?
Because some lunatic who didn't take their meds might go and shoot up shopping center? Newsflash that individual could pull a DC sniper if their objective is to kill a lot of people. Although it was the same gun as Newton it was used in a completely different fashion easily achieved with a lesser gun if used the same way.

Glad you ignored the other quotes I put up but here are some more. Oh btw knock it off with the NRA propaganda. No one here is advocating for them, no one here is a member as far as I know so why do you bring them up?
Because some of us agree with maintaining our second ammendment right?

"Let me add, that a bill of rights is what the people are entitled to against every government on earth, general or particular; and what no just government should refuse or rest on inference." -Thomas Jefferson: Letter to James Madison, Dec. 20, 1787

"The right of the citizens to bear arms is just one more guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against the tyranny which now appears remote in America, but which historically has proved to be always possilble." - Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey

"...Arms like laws discourage and keep the invader and the plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world as well as property. The balance of power is the scale of peace." -Thomas Paine

"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom; it is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves." - William Pitt, 1783

What, sir, is the use of militia? It is to prevent the establishment of a standing army, the bane of liberty. . . Whenever Government means to invade the rights and liberties of the people, they always attempt to destroy the militia, in order to raise a standing army upon its ruins." -- Debate, U.S. House of Representatives, August 17, 1789

"As the military forces which must occasionally be raised to defend our country, might pervert their power to the injury of their fellow citizens, the people are confirmed by the next article (of amendment) in their right to keep and bear their private arms." -- Federal Gazette, June 18, 1789

"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.... And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms.... The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants."
- Thomas Jefferson, in letter to William S. Smith, 1787

I bet the NRA MADE THIS UP TO HUH BOBA:smt066

hey ted-nugent-wannabe-glen-beck-mofo.

===========================================

God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion.
The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is
wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts
they misconceive.
If they remain quiet under such misconceptions,
it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. ...
And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not
warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of
resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as
to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost
in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from
time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It is its natural manure."

more of the quote....from jefferson...

get the facts.....tyrants and patriots will fight.....the tree of liberty must be refreshed (looked at again from time to time).

liberty does mean freedom. citizen having protection from another citizen is the situation in our discussion without trouncing the liberties of another. not citizen to protection from govt.

you guys dont give a rats ass about another persons life as long as you feel warm and fuzzie inside
