Movies with BM/WW Couples

Hey you don't normally see an older brotha with a little young thing of any race. Meanwhile you see older White men with younger actresses all the the time. I guess it's more progress.
What do you mean by "little young thing?" If you're talking about significant age gaps, it really isn't that rare. Will Smith, Don Cheadle, Samuel L. Jackson, and Denzel Washington have all had films or shows where they were paired up with women 17-20 years younger than them.

Don't forget Cuba Gooding Jr, in "Bayou Caviar" opposite Lia Johnson!!

VH1 ‘Let’s Get Merried’

Well, they didn't give much info so it's a wait & see. Dec. 13 on VH1

https://www.tvinsider.com/show/lets-get-merried/

I couldn't find an official trailer or preview clip for VH1's "Let's Get Merried" (Starring Mishel Prada, the chick who plays Veronica's older half-sister on The CW's "Riverdale" & "Smart Guy" Tahj Mowry) anywhere, so these media interviews are gonna have to do:

Vegas Film Critic (Jeffrey K. Howard) speaks with actress Mishel Prada for her naughty holiday film, Let's Get Merried on VH1. #MishelPrada #LetsGetMerried #VH1

Well, it looks like Tahj Mowry is deep in the holiday spirit! The younger sibling of Tia and Tamera Mowry is all grown up and is no little drummer boy in VH1's newest movie, "Let’s Get Merried". He chopped it up with EBONY correspondent and Sprite Who's Got Next competition winner Jenn Rodriguez and shared who he'd love to see under the mistletoe, his experience starring in the unconventional holiday movie, and his family's round-up of must-see Christmas films.

I'm 17 minutes into this film & the fact this a MTV-produced VH1 film makes this a better produced film than all the Lifetime & Hallmark xmas romcom films we've watched the last couple months. This film more closely resembles an actual theatrical or Netflix romcom film.

Seen this yesterday. I'm surprised at how well the acting and the storylines has been in these Lifetime IR Christmas Romance movies. You could tell there has been an effort with these films.

That's 3 for 3 so far
Dancing In The Snow
An Ice Wine Christmas
Mistletoe In Montana

Have you watched Tubi TV's "A Chance at Christmas" yet? That's probably the best of all the IR Xmas romcom films that premiered this holiday season just off the fact it's high concept for a typical Xmas romcom film with film using the "Groundhog Day Loop" trope.

I never knew Hallmark and Lifetime had become so daring. Lol
Lifetime has for a while now but Hallmark is the surprise.

I don't consider it daring. Hollywood has introduced new diversity quotas in the last year & half, so that explains a lot. And like @Jeffrey Tripp mentioned if you follow this thread, Lifetime had already been putting out Xmas romcom films with IR lead couples the last few years or so.

The previous CEO was anti-IR which explains the abrupt changes.
The previous CEO of Hallmark was anti-IR? Well, they're based in Kansas City, Missouri, if my memory serves me correctly, so that's not a huge surprise.
Link to this info about the Hallmark CEO?

Yes! I enjoyed it that creative concept. It was one of those movies I took a chance with watching because the trailer wasn't up to par with how the film turned out to be.

Sorry for being sort of facetious with that remark. I don't really think of it as daring, either, just that it can also draw flack from wingnuts and always thought of major networks and studios as being extremely conflict-averse.

X Trailer (2022)

“At a secluded farmhouse in Texas, a film crew arrives to shoot an adult film. Their hosts, a reclusive elderly couple, take a special interest in their young guests. As night falls, the couple’s leering interest turns violent.”

Kid Cudi and Brittany Snow are playing Pornstars in a horror movie... this should be interesting. lol.

The trailer looks intriguing.
