Yup. Mofos felt so honored that a white person would actually try to live as black person they threw all logic out of the window. She actually got a pass for wearing black face. She couldn't even answer simple ass questions showing either she knew what she was doing was wrong or she was delusional as hell.

I don't think whatever is going on with her is on the level where if she doesn't get psych help she won't be able to function in society.

Plenty of high functioning adults are walking around burdened with self-hate.
Being Black is her truth and if she's being sincere to herself, whether or not strangers think she's authentic is irrelevant.

People beat this woman down like she's walking around thinking she's a Toyota sedan or a panda bear.

A WW deciding she's Black is a deep mental health problem??:smt017

IMO people are upset because she could willingly pass for Black, whereas most Black folk can't pass for anything except African, Caribbean or a Euro-Black if they speak a foreign language.

People are out here reinventing themselves everyday, literally.

I've met brothas before who worked damn hard to perfect a British accent then perpetrated like they were from Leeds or some shit.:smt009

If the woman was just performing Blackface, she wouldn't have been able to pass.
Blackface is an exaggerated caricature of being Black, but when Kimora Lee Simmons was tanning her skin to look Blacker, nobody said a word.

My point being I don't think this is really much of a news story.

Identity in America is based on achievement, history.....and what you can get away with.

Did you read the article dude just posted. One of that's how you identify why lie about your past, about your family. Why get your brother to lie for you?
And isn't Kimora Lee wasn't trying to look black she is black via her African American father. Dude you are reaching way too hard on this one.

Its the constant lying such as being born in a teepee.

Why would you have to lie about that?

I believe Kimora is mixed, but she did tan her skin to look Blacker.
Because a WW tans her skin to look more ethnic or racially ambiguous isn't an issue for me.

Does anyone really care if this woman was born in a teepee??:p

Too much lying though, although to project her Blackness to the outside world, she needed to make sure here background matched.

I'm curious to know in her personal relationships was she known as a dishonest person or did her lies remain strictly about her background???

I feel like the very idea of Ms. Dolezal is so offensive to some people they're criticizing every aspect of who she is, which IMO is too much.

You know it. People get jealous over anything these days.

It's not jealousy fam it's insincerity of her character and co-opting a struggle that she felt necessary to lie about.
Why do you guys support her so much. Do you think her pretending to be black is some type of honor?

Hold on where are you getting that she is tanning to look blacker? And she is in fact black. If Beyonce tans is she trying to look blacker? What about Kerry. Washington? Alicia Keys?
    You make no sense.

Nope. I Just don't see reason to be upset or offended. If anything I hope she finds peace.

Politicians lie every day along with salesmen, mechanics, lawyers, and everyday hustlers in New York but they do so for personal gain. (No offense to anyone here) Insecure folk lie well....because they are insecure :smt031 Do I get offended by someone because they may be insecure or have a mental illness? Nope. Being offended over someone else personal problems just don't seem logical to me.

She lied about everything about herself...she said she had a black father......when her parenrs are white...why lie about that?

    Whats ok with that?

Who said it was ok. It's called insecurity......damn. Are people not allowed to have flaws? I met people that lied all the time about who they were and what they achieved. I knew I couldn't get close to them, but it didn't offend me. Once I got tired of hearing the bullshit I moved on, simple as that.

I'm not perfect, and just because I don't have the same flaws that she has is no reason to look down on her.

Kimora Lee is biracial, I believe Black and Korean.

Yes she did tan her skin when she was married to Russell Simmons to look Blacker.

The point is tanning your skin isn't a form of 'blackface', no matter who does it.

Millions of WW get tans because they think darker skin with reason is more attractive than pale skin. Are they trying to appropriate the culture of people of color??:smt069

If you're offended because Ms. Dolezal says she's Black, fine. But don't bring up her tanning her skin as another level of offense.

That's like calling her perm a salon inspired minstrel show.lol

Lol. Clearly some have zero concept of pathological lying. They are as in denial of Rachel's non-blackness as she is.

I was never ever offended. None of my posts stated that.

In summation all my posts have said or inferred that i didnt care she dressed or acted black...theres no need to lie about being white....or lie about anything about herself.

How did u get me being offended out of that?
