Great casting for Kingpin. The jury is still out on the guy they picked for 'ole Horn Head. Dude looks goofy as hell to me.
This. He's a decent enough actor but he doesn't come across as a "Matt Murdock/Daredevil" to me. Matt Murdock in some instances has been portrayed as a "pretty boy" able to attract certain women with his looks despite being "blind".
I agree. I've seen him in a couple of roles where he has that big city hard-boiled attitude down to a science, including Law and Order.
Vincent D'Onofrio is an excellent choice to play Wilson Fisk "Kingpin." The first actor to play Kingpin was John Rhys-Davies(Sallah from Raiders Of The Lost Ark and other films). He kept his hair as he was going against Rex Smith's Daredevil in The Trial Of The Incredible Hulk.
CASTING RUMOR : Multiple comic book related sites are currently running with a report that actor Jason Momoa, formerly Khal Drogo in Game of Thrones, will be Aquaman in the Batman vs Superman & Justice League movies.
I liked Jason Momoa from Stargate: Atlantis. His role as Rowan Dax was great. And he'd make an even greater Aquaman. The next question will be is Black Manta going to make an appearance.
Aquaman? Naw. I don't see it. I don't think this guy is a very good actor. What about Adrien Grenier?...lol
If he is indeed going to be Aquaman, then I know exactly why they chose him for the role. They're probably going to do Aquaman more along the lines to be DC's answer to Thor, even though Wonder Woman already fits that mold in a lot of ways. A "Warrior King of Atlantis" rather than the more traditional way he's been portrayed & seen by the non comic reading public. Aquaman has always had that stigma of being a lame character so they are more than likely going to play him more bad ass & somewhat dark similar to how he was during the comic period that he had the hook hand.
Please, fam, Aquaman would hand Namor's flat headed ass a serious ass whoop in'. Seriously, dude's got little fairy wings on his ankles. How is that not lame? ...lol
Well, both Aquaman and Prince Namor(Submariner)are rulers of Atlantis. Both are very powerful men under the water. They are powerful swimmers and can make nasty things happen if somebody violates their domain. They're also powerful on land. While Prince Namor is a full Atlantean, born and bred, Aquaman, a.k.a. Arthur Curry, has roots on the land and in Atlantis(Father Atlantean, mother land dweller; or the other way around), thus giving Arthur Curry an advantage. While Arthur Curry can satisfy his curiosity by exploring the land masses of the world by functioning like a human on the land. Prince Namor can do so, but his exploration is limited because he is, quite literally a fish out of water and he has some contempt for the people of the land. Of course, he had mellowed out. But, he could destroy coastal cities at any time if he wanted to. Arthur Curry would, indeed, flex his muscle if he feels that the oceans were in danger by the hands of land dwellers. I believe both Atlantean men have equal standing. I recall back in the late 80's, there was going to be a live-action film for Prince Namor. But, the project was scrapped because of the budget. If they do make a Prince Namor movie, I would think that one of the following actors could play him 1. Keanu Reaves 2. Jason Scott Lee(from Soldier) 3. Cary Hiryuki-Tagawa(from Rising Sun and The Art Of War. Sure, he is older, but he looks just like Prince Namor) 4. Daniel Dae Kim
Namor's father is a human sailor as well, hence his white skin as opposed to the blue of the other Atlanteans. Keanu Reeves would make a great Namor. So would Jason Momoa (Conan, Game of Thrones), although he's not that pale. I think I always liked him better because I dig anti-heroes. He reminds me of Wolverine in terms of disposition somewhat. Not a fan of the wings, either, but Namor's no goody two-shoes. Now watch me stick up for my hero, lol.
Might just be me but looks wise Jason Momoa would be a better fit as Namor than as Aquaman. Add the pointy ears & widows peak to the hair.
Jason Momoa would make a pretty good Prince Namor. I agree. And since finding out that his father was a human; thanks for that info, by the way, I am curious as to which of these heroes came first, Aquaman or Submariner. I had read that they were probably products of the 40's like Captain America and Wonder Woman.
