Josh Brolin to Play Thanos in Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ & ‘Avengers’ Sequel. Taken from Variety.com. Josh Brolin has been tapped to play the villainous Thanos in Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” sources confirm to Variety. Thanos, who first appeared in the post-credits scene in “The Avengers,” is a major villain in the Marvel universe and is also expected to appear in one, if not both, of the upcoming “Avengers” sequels. “We’re definitely tied to ‘Avengers 3,’” director James Gunn recently said of the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy,” which hits theaters Aug. 1. Co-starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper, “Guardians” is based on the Marvel comic series and tells the story of a superhero team fighting to save the world.
Josh Brolin played quite a number of villains and he has strong facial features that would accentuate the character of Thanos.

Marvel Might Cancel All "Fantastic Four" Comics Because of Fox's Upcoming Movie http://www.complex.com/pop-culture/2014/05/marvel-canceling-fantastic-four
That's about right for each of those profiled. However, I was surprised Wilson Fisk(Kingpin) was not on this list.
Might be something that is currently being established in the "New 52" continuity. I read in passing on a comic related site something about Wayne Industries having financial problems in some of the current Batman storylines & Bruce Wayne refusing to do some merger deal with Luthor & LexCorp that would have help end the problems. Add to that in the most recent issue of Justice League Luthor shows up at Wayne Manor at night & says to Alfred when he answers the door "Tell Batman that Lex Luthor is here to see him." First time that I can recall any hint of Luthor being aware that Bruce Wayne is Batman.
What I remember is from pre-52. I haven't read anything new in years. Have no idea what's going on in current continuity. How is the new 52 overall?
The only way I know what's what in comics now is from internet comic sites & on the occasions I take my kids, primarily my son, to the local comic shop & see/hear what's what on that level. From what I can gather about the New 52 overall most of the current fanbase want the pre-52 continuity back because it's fucked up a lot of well liked & established elements of the DC Universe, even though some of the new 52 stuff has added some new & interesting twist in certain areas.
This is a segment that was shot & was originally to be at the beginning of the Incredible Hulk movie starring Edward Norton but was eventually cut during final editing. Recall a somewhat different version of this particular event was referenced in the Avengers movie.
I remember seeing that clip on TV when the Blu-Ray came out. I also remember when the 1991 version of Captain America came out(it went straight to video). Captain America was found by arctic explorers and literally got up and walked to civilization in Canada.
Saw a pretty cool horror/sci-fi flick tonight called Vanishing on 7th St. with Hayden Christensen and John Leguizamo about everyone in Detroit being disintegrated by an encroaching darkness that the survivors hold off with light. It wasn't bad.
I'd like to catch it again and pay closer attention. But it was better than much of the fare on Chill TV, such as that ridiculous one about the teens being picked off one by one by some sort of prehistoric freshwater lake fish.
