The trait he must have in him is a conscience as large as day, if you can't see it and feel it early, you have to go very slow or move on. ....His conscience is your assurance that you might be able to build something meaningful together. .....

In a word? Nicotine. I don't smoke but I know plenty of people who do and it's a hard habit to kick.
