Obama supports Ground Zero mosque

Your average, everyday Muslim guy selling hot dogs on the street is making bombs at home. They just caught such a guy in Colorado, Americanized, normal. With a trunk full of bomb-making shit.

The would-be Times Square bomber was an accountant of some sort. White collar guy you wouldn't think twice about.

How about the Fort Hood shooter. HE WAS IN THE FUCKING U.S. ARMY.

I fly a lot. Everytime one of these fuckers tries something, prices go up, hassles go up. I remember when you could go to NYC for $99 round trip. Now it's almost $300.

BHO is a nuanced, balanced cat. I dig that. I voted for the man and still love him. But the President is or should be America's cheerleader first and foremost, and he's got to make shit simple for the masses. They are not law professors, they do not parse. America is far from nuanced and he needs their votes.

Yes I am. I have a BA in political science and I am pretty well informed when it comes to the subject of ideology. Islamic faith is an ideology just as much as the confederacy was and in their purist forms they operate much differently than how people practice them so as I said before try again. I ain't no new jack homie.
 
My prediction is the following:

The mayor will defend their right to be there. Behind the scenes, he will offer a better place(probably at lower cost) to avoid this nonsense from people complaining about it for absurd reasons. The other option is the owner stays there and everyone gets less concerned about it like the white house being built by slaves.

 Your point in regards to Detroit is understood but cannot be applicable in every case. No offense, you don’t know if they are trying to fuck with us none of us know, all of us are assuming their reasoning and judging the merits of where to build the Mosque. One of the best things about this country is our freedoms real, imaginary or matrix like. They have the right to build where ever and practice their religion where ever.

 I continue to reiterate the staunch antagonism against the building of the mosque is many Americans do not understand what Islam is about. We are not at war with these people as you stated. We are at war with people who hate western ideology or our way of life. These people claim to follow Islam and they most certainly do not. A muslim who truly follows Islam should be one of the most peaceful, polite and most humble people you ever meet. One of the five pillars of their belief; (similar to the 10 commandments) is to give to the poor to assist the less fortunate. By all accounts we know Sadaam did not give a damn about his people and we can categorize many others as not giving a damn especially those that flew planes into the world trade.

There are bad people of all races, genders, and ethnicities. The problem is we don't know who's the bad guy until they show their true colors.

How do we alleviate that problem?

you're pretty sharp for a new guy

and yes it is racial profiling, but since it doesn't involve pulling black people over, under the suspicion they're driving stolen cars (u know we cant afford shit, po' asses) or something along those matters, no one cares. You know, we ourselves are considered terrorists to certain groups of people, due to simple statistics, daily encounters, and what they see in the media. We don't blow up buildings, but we do enough as a group otherwise, to make people afraid of us. We should be the Muslims' biggest ally when it comes to discrimination and racism from the majority.

Also, I don't get us vs them in this. Muslims are us. They have been a part of this country for ages. They're as American as Evangelicals. They died on 911, and in our wars, and in these wars that we're having right now. There's no us versus them, if them is Muslims, because Muslims 'R' us, too.

Wow, ONE guy that was affected by 9/11 supports the building of the mosque. The vast majority of the people effected by 9/11 find it very tasteless and insensitive. Yes, of course techinically they CAN build the mosque there, but it is quite insensitive and idiotic of them to do so.

Also raocha, I am still wondering what your opinion of Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is. I am refering to my post made on page 13 #128. You conveniently didnt comment on it lol.
