I know, I've missed a lot. It was so horrible because (if I decided to even try) I would watch a little then it'd stop to load more, then I'd watch a little again, then it would stop to load more, then I'd watch a little again, then it would stop to load more. It was like Chinese water torture!

I used to. I guess with getting older, I'm becoming a wuss. Now it gives me heartburn. Now I do the Dew.
When I was little I also used to love fireballs, the candy. Well, I've become such a wuss with those now too.

How did you give it up? I've tried sooo many times without any success. Pop in general. I've tried teas (black, green, flavored, white, sweet, unsweetened, hot, cold) for the caffeine, carbonated water (because they say that you can get addicted to the carbonation too) flavored with slices of fruit. I need a whole 12 step program I think. :smt100

    Full on!! :smt026

Anyhoo, I rearranged my furniture in my apartment earlier.
Mostly because I thought I was going to get one of those converter box thingies for my old ass TV I got free from the mail man, and the co-ax cable thingy is on the other wall and I didn't want the cable/cord going across my livingroom so I rearranged all my furniture.
But I didn't get the converter box thing. Still no TV unless I come to my mom's. But I rearranged my furniture. All by myself.
See, I have two things where you twist on the co-ax for a TV, one is for RCA/antenna and one is for Cable and they're on opposite walls and when I moved in I figured once I did get TV it will be Cable, not antenna so I put my TV on that wall.
But I thought I'd get a converter box earlier and if I could just get a converter box I could at least get RCA/antenna. But that didn't happen as planned. So I rearranged all my furniture for no reason.
The biggest things were just a loveseat a neighbor gave me and a huge ass lazyboy recliner my uncle gave me that is so huge my feet don't touch the floor when I sit in it. It makes me feel like a little kid. And I moved my five shelf book case too that's full of books. I took all the books off first, then moved it, then put them all back on. That bookshelf kind of scares me. Because the bottom is flush with the wall, but the top kind of leans out an inch or two. It hasn't fallen yet though. I'll have to move some wall decor too, since I moved my bookshelf. I'll do that tomorrow/later (since it's after 2 AM). And get everything all perfectly centered and symmetrical for me again.
    I am bored.

We just got a new landlord recently (a different one from the one we had when I moved in April 2nd). I think he's a Nazi or something. He's white, bald, and has lightning bolt tatts. I didn't see said tatts, so I don't know if they are the Nazi or something ones or if he maybe just has a fetish for inclement weather. But it still makes me nervous. :smt105

Oh, please. I'm not talking about you, Ms. LS. You contribute a lot to this board besides pictures. You didn't even cross my mind.

I don't care if that's all that people want to post. I've just always wondered why they aren't more interactive with the rest of the boards.

Oh cool then, I sometimes get paranoid about being a picture whore on here haha.

I noticed that with one person in particular though. I don't really get it either.

No need for you to be paranoid. I wouldn't consider you a picture whore at all. So keep posting those awesome pics. ;)

Over the years, I tried all of that stuff, too. None of it worked.

The only thing that worked for me is I was finally ready. Ready and serious about getting thin again. Ready to end the cycle of Mt. Dew and soda in general. Diabetes runs rampant in my family, but even THAT wasn't enough to stop me drinking it.

I quit cold turkey. That's the only way I could do it and hope that this time it would "take". People thought I was crazy, but I tried the weaning myself off of it trick and it didn't work. I literally had an addict's mentality to drinking soda: oh, my drive into work sucked, I need a dew. Oh, this day is stressful, I need a dew. Oh, it's sunny outside after raining for a week straight, this calls for a dew! LOL.

One day, I woke up and said, this has to stop. I put a friend on stand by to talk me off the mt. dew ledge if I needed it (and I did once) and I've been okay ever since. I miss it on occasion, but drinking water is refreshing. I drink regular water now. Though I do have hot chocolate sometimes at work, and the occasional lemonade. That's it.

If you're THAT addicted to it, you just have to be ready to quit it.

People have told me for years to just drink diet soda. But I can't. You know why? The taste is terrible, but I won't even try to get used to the taste, I won't subject my body to aspartame or splenda.

I know, when you're talking something as unnatural as soda, why am I splitting hairs? I don't know. But ingesting aspartame or splenda is something I don't ever want to do. It's regular soda for me, or nothing.

I hope to eventually get to the point where I can have a soda every once in awhile and I won't be tempted to fall back into drinking it on a daily basis, but until then, I'll be staying off the sauce completely.
