Pepsi Max aka the manly diet drink, isn't all bad. But it still doesn't beat the real thing. Its designed to be enjoyed moderately. We, intend to over indulge in that as well as everything else.

Your game is hard, but interesting...lol

    I see how we can't Google anything....*aww shucks* :p

I started this game where you ask a question and a poster answers and then asks another question and you keep it going.

should I be mad about this situation? I don't know, my friend said it was bad enough I should drop this girl as a friend. But I just shrugged it. But maybe I shouldn't have I don't know. Anyway, what happened was that I've been pretty close friend with this lady. We're not romantically attached, in fact we're more like family than anything else. And she never been to comic con, so being a pro badge I had a chance to get bring one free guest, so I gave her the guest pass to go all 4 days so she could experience it. Tons of people were asking me about the guest pass but I already told them that I gave it to her.

In any case, she recently got a boyfriend and we all hanged out and it was cool. No problems cause I just wanted to make sure he was a cool guy. Anyway, the biggest point of going to comic con this year was so that I could sign up my booth for my business next year in comic con. It was extremely important and I told her about it. Not just that but by turning in your paperwork at comic con during comic con gives you priority registration.

But the thing was you could only sign up on Sunday after 1:00 pm. Anyway, we went thursday and friday, had a great time, but she mention before she wouldn't be able to come on one of the days which was saturday. No problem cause I could hitch a ride with my friends down there on saturday. Which I did, but she wanted me to give the guest pass to her boyfriend carlos when he came. No problem, and they were working on this street fighter ryu costume until 3:00 am in the morning. So even though she wasn't going, she drove her boyfriend all the way to comic con and picked him up. Again, no problem. I gave him the pass and we had a great day. The next day came around and my friend didn't come to pick me up. I gave her text, calls, no answer. Finally I get a response from her saying that she's hanged over and she doesn't want to go to con. I was like WTF? But today is the day I need to sign up for the business. So I was hoping she could at least give me a ride there. Nope, she said she didn't want to go because it was too crowded.

So I was like oh crap, what am I going to do. My friend who gave me a ride on saturday, her son's birthday was sunday so she couldn't do it. And the bus doesn't run on sunday's anymore. I was in some serious luck though cause other friend who was going originally had a full car, but they took a truck which allowed for one more person. So I was very lucky in going, and essentially I signed up for snowstorm comics. Some cases told me I should have been mad but the important thing was that I signed up for snowstorm comics. Well the friend who I gave the badge meet up with me and a few others for this life drawing class, and she ask me about con. So I told her I thought I was going to be screwed but luckily a friend came. But I said it in a very joking matter and she thought I was going to take the bus like on saturday, but I told her I didn't take the bus on saturday, my friend dropped me off. So we start driving, and I'm talking with my other friends and I notice she's eerily quiet. And i'm very observant so I judge her facial expression and to my eyes, she looks mad. I was like WTF? She became better as the day went on but it kinda bugged me cause I thought if anyone should've been mad, it should've been me. But like always I dropped it.

But another friend told me that wasn't right at all, and that I should be mad and I should drop her as a friend. But should I? Really?

Sounds like she used you - you did her a solid and she failed you the day you needed her in order to sign up. If she agreed to pick you up and just even didnt answer txts etc???
Ergo: not a friend, she put herself first and didnt give you any common decency or consideration.
Her anger was just a death blow to that frienship - I hate when people use attack as their defense. Drop her.

Yes! I am an unstoppable machine! Well, except for yesterday, heh.

I want to be ready now! I've read so much terrible stuff about what it does to your body, but it doesn't work to get me off the sauce, LoL. I don't drink diet pop either for the same reason (don't want any aspartame or splenda) and it tastes bad. And I don't know if this is true but I read somewhere that the "dark pops" like Pepsi, Coke, Dr. Pepper, etc are worse on your liver or kidneys or one of those, than the lighter pops like Mt. Dew, Sprite, 7up, etc. I can't drink water because it makes me think I'm drinking cold spit and I gag, LoL. The only time I drink water is if I do have tea. I've tried also to start drinking Crystal Light with water too. I've tried to quit drinking pop cold turkey then I got those caffiene withdrawal migraines that made me sick and pain killers even with caffiene in them did not do anything for me. My grandmother had diabetes, my mother kind of has diabetes, my twin sister was recently diagnosed with diabetes, but I got all my stuff checked and all my blood sugar and insulin and glucose stuff is normal/fine/perfect. I guess I can just do my bestest until I am finally ready to give it up.

On a different note. Why does it seem like after you break up with someone all of a sudden the universe decides to mess with you? Like all of a sudden playing all your songs on the radio and all of a sudden everyone on TV, in movies, in books you read, in magazines has the same name as them, etc etc etc. And yesterday I managed to get someone to provide me with a ride to the store after not being able to go anywhere in over a month and what do I see on the license plate on the vehicle in front of us on the way home? His first, middle, last initials in order as the first 3 letters of their license plate. :smt107

Oh boy wow, that's why I'm kinda glad I talked to you guys and some friends about it. Because I'm so laid back and chill, very little bothers me. But that also
could lead to instances of being walked on and I don't realize it. Like I get a hint (like I believe this situation was wrong) but usually I just shrug my shoulders and go along with my business. Staying drama free you know? So I guess I shouldn't talk to her anymore than huh? That should be simple, since she only talks if I initiate conversation or text. So as long as I don't send something her way, I probably won't hear from her. Thanks a lot fam!

When you're over him, those things won't seem like such a big deal, but yeah, that usually happens. When the fireman/paramedic and I were over, all I saw every freaking day were fire trucks or ambulances. I was like, are ya kiddin' me?? LOL. My daughter even had a field trip to a place run by firemen. I was like, why God why?

Pretty soon, those things will be just little blips on your radar screen.

As for the soda, it's good that you don't have diabetes, but keep your eye on it, because ya never know.

I haven't heard about the differences between the lighter vs darker sodas. I do know that Mt. Dew has one of the highest (if not the highest) amounts of sugar than others.

Crystal Light has splenda in it. That stuff didn't taste bad to me, but it has splenda, so I don't drink it.

Try drinking your water ice cold. It's quite refreshing. And when you can, put a piece of fruit in it, or a cucumber slice. That might help give it more flavor. Good luck!!

I think Britty is refering to this: Dark sodas and ice tea has oxalates and phosphates in it - that is not good for people that have a tendency for kidney stones. In terms of this, I wouldnt worry unless you had kindney stones.

    Oxalate and Kidney Stones

In a review of studies of dietary oxalate, the authors found that a decrease in dietary calcium intake led to greater urinary oxalate(5). Since less calcium was available to bind the oxalate into a non-absorbable form in the stomach and intestines, more oxalate was absorbed and then excreted through the urine, raising the risk for kidney stones.

This review also identified eight specific oxalate-containing foods that significantly increase urinary oxalate, and therefore the potential for calcium-oxalate stones. These foods included nuts, tea, chocolate, beets, rhubarb and wheat bran. This finding suggests a strategy of limiting intake of certain very high oxalate-containing foods in people prone to calcium oxalate stone formation, and maintaining adequate calcium intake.

Finally, phosphate-based soft drinks have been proposed as a contributor to kidney stones. A study in the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology reviewed 1,009 male patients who both formed kidney stones and were consumers of a significant amount of soda to see what effect soda might have on stone recurrence(6). Those people who consumed phosphate-based sodas in the largest quantities had the highest rate of stone recurrence

let this information be passed on to men because it is no joke passing a kidney stone.

i read your first post and my first thought is the girls un reliable, selfish and rude

wouldnt say cut her out your life completly if you share other friends but i would sure make it a casual aquaintence rather than a friend so being polite and the like if you happen to come accross her in social situations but i wouldnt bother making plans to hang out or go places with her

Oh okay. so just lower her status of friendship lol. But yeah, that shouldn't be too hard since we only talk if I initiate a conversation anyway. But man, I'm still surprised by it. I never thought she would be like that. Oh well.
