I guess she forgot that women pay to go to movies too, so why didn't more of 150,000,000 women in America go to see the movie? If even 1 percent of women went to see the movie it would have made at least $13 million in the opening weekend instead of $8.6 million. I'm pretty sure the movie bombed because it looks dull and Kristen Stewart isn't exactly a box office draw (outside of shiny vampire movies)
Called it. These people simply don't understand their audience and live in a bubble of yes men. People lie to them left and right telling them mediocre ideas are better than they are. No one was asking for a reboot of a 70s tv show turned into a movie for the second time. No one is interested in seeing sub par cgi action moves from mediocre women who can't do the physical work. They are lazy and wanted to ride a wave of unearned success. I'm surprised at Banks she knows how to produce a hit. She made the Pitch Perfect series which did very well. She read the audience better then.
The Expanse Season 4 official trailer and key art is out today. Synopsis: The Expanse Season 4, its first season as a global Amazon Original, begins a new chapter for the series, with the crew of the Rocinante on a mission from the U.N. to explore new worlds beyond the Ring Gate. Humanity has been given access to thousands of Earth-like planets which has created a land rush and furthered tensions between the opposing nations of Earth, Mars and the Belt. Ilus is the first of these planets, one rich with natural resources but also marked by the ruins of a long dead alien civilization. While Earthers, Martians and Belters maneuver to colonize Ilus and its natural resources, these early explorers don’t understand this new world and are unaware of the larger dangers that await them.
How come the women didn't come out in full force, Elizabeth! She also must've not been paying attention to Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel, Mad Max: Fury Road, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil and so on... lol. She's goofy.
