No matter how hard I try, I can't understand how you can find Trump refreshing. Unless it's just a blind support of him because he's the exact opposite of Obama. Despite our history of differences here Bliss, I got the impression that IRL you stood up for the little guy, the bullied, targeted minority groups in general, showing your support and really standing firm on right vs wrong. Do you truly not take issue with Trumps lashing out or his childish twitter rants? Are you not offended by his mocking of the disabled or his history of mistreating bp? You're not offended by how he speaks about women? All of these things seem like causes you'd fight against so your defense/support of his way of "swinging back" is baffling to me.

The sad part to me is that we can't sit with our kids and watch the president speak anymore. With Obama, we always knew he'd speak intelligently and with a decent level of respect. Trump is a time bomb, erupting bits at a time. He's incapable of taking the high road or being the bigger person. Who, at work, would get away with fighting fire with fire? Professionalism is expected in most work environments and the tit for tat crap would get you fired 9 times out of 10 so why on earth is it acceptable or refreshing to see that immature behavior out of our Nations highest leader?

You're right. An 18 year old who has school, car, ins, phone, housing, food, personal items, everything, bought and paid for, is not spoiled. Every young person should be raised to expect those things. No need to work princess, mommy and daddy will continue paving your gold brick lined path.

A lack of personal responsibility and the expectation that others will pay your way is the epitome of "spoiled" in my mind.

I couldn't disagree with his stance more than I do, but I fully support his right to voice his opinions! I've never found the issue to really be about voicing our opinions, but more so forcing others to live by our beliefs. That's what this topic has always come down to for me. We can all believe whatever we want, but we shouldn't be allowed to force others to live their lives by our rules.

Just because he can doesn't mean he should. A smart man knows when to keep his mouth shut and wise man knows when to pick his battles. Donald J. Trump has proven himself to be neither of those things and clapping back at people via social media doesn't make him look strong, it makes him look weak. You think that Obama, or the Bushes, or Clinton, or Reagan would have acted the way that he does once they were elected?

Being thin-skinned and overly defensive are bad qualities for anyone to have, but when you're the 70 year old President of the United States of America it is much, much worse. If he wants to be treated like a mature, responsible, rational adult who's the leader of a world power then he needs to start acting like one.

Knock that off most middle class kids have or had the same thing. Had a car and phone at her age that my parents got me but I've worked since I was 14. How do you know she never worked for anything?
Why is that spoiled? Is getting a bike spoiled? How about video games?
Since when is your parents loving you enough to give you a few extras being spoiled. So the only hard working people worked for literally everything including diapers and formula? Got it

I know plenty of Republicans (even many Black people who are Republicans *GASP*) and I really know of no one who has gone to battle for Trump and rationalize the things he says and does as much as Bliss has.

I am really trying (TRYING) to stay open about the possibilities of this guy and I do tend to lean towards the conservative side....hard not to when you've been an entrepreneur for most of your life. But to out and out defend the obnoxious things that are said is crazy to me. I've said things because I'm really trying (TRYING) to figure it out and give the benefit of doubt and sortof a wait and see what the actions that actually happen are. I also have this thing about trying to figure out what the strategy really is with him (not just where he's coming from and plans to do, but the puppet masters who put him there) I have all sorts of thoughts and wondering if maybe he's like a shock jock and says the most outrageous things to get people all stirred up and then when he backs up a bit they won't freak out over what he really ends up doing. There just has to be more to it all then face value.

Stop with the "got it" bullshit, you don't get to decide when this conversion is over lol.

I don't care if every middle class person gets the same as she got. They're all spoiled then. I've worked since I was 15 years old too...and I was still spoiled lol. I wasn't spoiled to the extent that this princess was, but my parents definitely offered me more than they needed to. At the same time, they did those "extra" things because I was acting responsibly and using my earnings responsibly. Once I was 18 though, out of high school and on to college, the free ride wasnt the same anymore lol. They didn't provide for me at 18, 19, 20 like they did when I was 15, 16. I think as parents we take care of our children's wants and needs while simultaneously teaching them to eventually be able to do those things themselves. The fact that she went running to the internet to beg for money instead of hunkering down with a job and savings plan tells me maybe she wasn't taught (or didn't retain) much on how to adult.

I don't even think it's a diversion. Trump's always been this way, although his maturity level has actually gone down as he's gotten older. We just notice his absurd more now that he's the most high-profile person on the face of the planet.

Agreed! When I heard about her anti-cyberbully campaign... my first thought was... she doesn't have to look far seeing as her husband is obsessed with being a cyber bully.

What's funny is that Trump is absolutely a pussy. All he does is talk shit on the internet (never to anyone's face) and act totally immature. So... someone makes a statement disagreeing with him. Instead of (maturely) standing his ground... he resorts to his very juvenile insults and name-calling. That's refreshing? Wow!

Seriously. I was more mature in middle school than he is right at this moment.

I'm not talking about those merely disagreeing with him...do you even follow some of the shit talk thrown his way? I love that he punches back, don't care if it's Trump or your average Joe.
DudeNY..l don't stomach politicians well whose talk is cheap, I'd rather a man or woman of action.
I kind of admire how he can tweet and turn the old boys club (Govt) on it's ass and meet world leaders all at the same time. The Press can't keep up with him, lol.

I think many middle schoolers are. Putting aside my political differences from Trump... He's everything not to want in the leader of a country, and he gets a pass because people like that "he speaks his mind" and the other bullshit. How people find redeeming qualities in him, I'll never understand. In the past when Bush 41 and 43 won. Well they weren't my choice but never in a million years did anyone have the worry of having a POTUS who was totally unstable.
