Well she's not for everyday working people but anything entertainment wise she's pretty chunky. But I think our bigger problem comes from allowing fashion models to dictate how women should look. Fitness models sure but not unhealthy "skinny" chicks.

 

You and many others seem to fel the need to quantify & explain everything. Society & people are so complex, sometimes you need to just let things be. Of course there is truth to what Trey said, because there are exceptions to everything, even the rules (which this isn't). We all could stand to be a little bit more free flowing and fluid with our opinions, views, etc, it would make us more understanding. We wouldn't put people "in a box" so much. When you try to control everything, life is grimmmm, factual, and too logical. Just let go of some the sterotypes, labels, etc and maybe we can move on, or move to a better place...

 

I don't have a need to qualify anything fam just having an intellectual exchange. At the end of the day I'm the only one who can define me not labels or stereotypes I just find topics like this interesting.

 

I don't feel I have really explained my position in great detail. So I'm going to take my time and tell you exactly where I'm coming from. I believe that most people have two personalities. I think you see who a person really is when they on a high. When a mutherfucka looking good, dressing good, driving a nice car, and making good money are usually sure of themselves. On the flipside, you can take that same person and put a little weight on them, average clothes, and put him/her on the bus and he/she would be a completely different person. People are more humble when their self esteem is low. They deal with people that normally would deal with, and accept things they normally wouldn't accept. That is why I don't feel like I can never get to know a person if they're not at their best.

When it comes to plus size women even if she's fine she'll still be considered undesirable in this society. For example; you have a chick that's slightly overweight that has perfect teeth, pretty eyes, pretty long hair, big titties, and a shapely phat ass and she'll wouldn't be considered nice looking because everyone got it in their minds that thin is good and thick/big is bad. I think most women embrace this way of thinking. The average woman who's slightly overweight or flat out overweight more than likely feels that she's not all of that attractive based on the standard of beauty in this country.

As far as us black males are concern you already know what this country thinks of us. We are considered to be the bottom of the barrel when it comes to men. Regardless of how attractive, morally grounded, and accomplished a lot of us are we're still considered to be at the bottom. I think most people in this society want to keep it this way. Non black men in general do not want us to be looked at as equals. That is why they poison their women against us. I've had white and latin women tell me that the men of their race think that having sex with a black man is disgusting. You got a lot of women who accept this as truth. You got women who believe that only desperate women date black men.

I want you to think about something for a second. When you hear "good" black men say "black women want thugs that's why I date white women" how do you view those men? I mean these niggas ain't dating white women because they're attracted to them. They not dating white women because of the love and respect white women usually show a nigga. They date white women because black women don't want them. When niggas send that message out to white women that got love for us I take that shit personally! These dudes represent me and other black men whether I like it or not. You going to have white women who think that we're desperate.

So when I hear a white woman say that white guys didn't want her so she decided to start dating us I'm completely turned off to her. She didn't come to us because she appreciates us. She came to us because she thinks she doesn't have any other place to go. I think a lot of these women buy into the same belief system that us black men are the bottom of the barrel. They believe that they're low and we are on their level.

I couldn't agree more. Many of us on the boards have been judged harshly or have watched our partners being judged simply because we chose interracial relationships. Shouldn't that experience teach us to be less judgmental with others?

Just because I didn't use a politically correct term? I just said I'm NOT skinny. I don't think I'm better than people who are overweight. I have a family member and a few friends who are overweight. I view them as equal to me. I don't judge someone based on the size of their fat cells.

Yes, I like black men and I'm chubby and I do think black men appreciate "softness" more than white men I met... even though I never dated a white man.
That doesn't mean that I like black mmen because I think that that's the only thing I can get. No way. If I had 2 hot, rich, successfull and everything else can be considered good men, one black, one white, I know I'd still go -without any doubt- for the black one. It's just my taste.
