But seriously, I found this site randomly, I liked some of the conversations so I joined, simple as that.

Well I can only tell you my present story because I just joined a couple of weeks ago.

I'm not new to IR relationships or dating...I've been in a long term relationship with a Peruvian man as well as dated a couple of other latin guys (mostly mexicans) But until last month, I have never been with a BM, nor was I particularly attracted to them. I live in a multicultural city and work with a lot of Haitian men and women, plus I travelled to the Caribbean already. I was always fascinated by the culture and way of life of the caribbean people, which I find more family and community oriented than here in Canada, and from what I felt, they are more warm, welcoming and easygoing. I kinda feel at home with them, I don't really know how to explain lol, but it's just like that.

I always enjoyed interacting with my Haitian coworkers and hear about their traditions, their way of thinking, etc., plus most of them are really nice and will be there for you no matter what :)

Then I went to Barbados for the first time and really fell in love with everything there, from their food to their way of being and living and their art (music, crafts, etc) But at that time, I had a boyfriend so I guess I didn't really notice the men there, at least not in a conscious way ;)

But last month, I went to a new Caribbean island, as a single girl this time, and as we don't stay in the all inclusive resorts (but rather we rent a cottage), we had the chance to interact a lot with the locals there. I met a couple of men who flirted with me but three guys spent the week with us showing us all around the island, giving us privilege to learn about their culture all the while being really respecful. I kinda started to have a crush on one of them and we ended up kissing and making out. I'm not one to have sex with men I don't know too much and he respected that till the end. We are still in contact and he will come visit me for a couple of weeks (as a friend for now) :)

And since then, something just changed...now all I notice are black men! I am not even attracted to WM anymore, I just can't explain why... I had a dream where I was making love with an unknown BM and it sparked something in me that I guess was there all along but unconscious...

So with the love of the caribbean culture, the way this man made me feel beautiful and cherished, the way he kissed and his personality, and now my newfound deep sensual (and yes, sexual) attraction to BM, I would love to date one (not ANY one, but someone I would fall in love with). I feel it would be just right as no man of any other culture made me feel that way.

So with this long and I hope, not too boring story, that is the reason I am here, because I am curious as to what are the opinions and experiences of people on the topic of WW/BM. Plus I lurked for a while before posting and I think this forum is graced with a lot of interesting intelligent people :)

I hope to someday have the chance to come here and tell you all that I met a wonderful BM that I love :smt054 But for now, let's see what happens with my nice caribbean man, even if I don't put too much hope for a long-distance relationship...but we never know ;)

Sorry for the long post, this topic is fascinating to me right now and I can get really passionate ;)

Here goes hope its not too long lol

I live in a multicultural city but never dated a BM, I cant say I was never interested in one because honestly the opportunity never came up. I never met one where I live. Anyway, I belong to another forum and I crossed paths with the tech guy there, a beautiful BM inside and out. We hit it off instantly. I have never experienced that in all my life, even with my soon to be ex husband.

We connected in a way that had me falling for him. We didnt date but were very into one another on all levels. Jan we had a fight and I was googling black men, and this forum popped up. I joined but lurked for the most part.

Anyhoo the other day I remembered this site and thought I would lurk again only I decided to come out of my lurk and introduce myself.

I guess in the end he let me experience the passion of a BM and now I guess I find myself interested in them more than ever. Like PrincessTurtle said, I find myself noticing black men and not white men anymore.

Well it's interesting to hear all the views and well l have never dated a WW but l have always had a fling to do so,because my imagination about the kinda of relationship it would be is so strong at the moment l stay in an Asian country ,Asian's are just not l would consider my type..l feel if l find a WW it would be different compared to dating a BW as l have been born in such a culture..and believe it's not that pleasant so try'n something new .

SO if your out there looking for change we could hookup and see what goes ,trust me disappointment isn't my kinda of thing

I joined this site not because I only date white women but because I am open to all races. The vitriol I see directed at different races when I read news article comments on other sites is disappointing to say the least. In my opinion being friends or dating people of a different race is not a big deal as long as there is respect. I generally enjoy open and direct conversations so I joined this site to see if I could make some friends.

When I joined,,, St Augusta (if that's the correct spelling) called me suspect. I laugh at that because Stizzy has always been real to the game. On and off the forum.

I think we all laughed at that, Stizzy. She wouldn't know "suspect" if it bit her on that big butt she brags about, lol.

IMO, there's no doubt about the realness (& awesomeness) of Stizzy. :smt058
