Last week, on my birthday, I made it almost the entire day without breaking down. But that night, I did cry. And I wondered if I would ever stop hurting, I mean it'd been a month already. This week, after renewing my focus on Vegas and stopping soda and fast food, I've been feeling better. I'm not over him yet, but I can think about him and thinK about the situation now without crying. Progress!! :smt081 :smt023
Awesome Bookie! It really does get better with time. I hope he's a very distant memory soon sweetie. My week is off to a crap start, it was 105 degrees on Saturday and of course the AC for the downstairs picked Saturday night to just stop working. So it's been around 85 degrees on the first floor of my house since then. I cannot sleep when it's that hot, no matter how many fans I have blowing directly on me. It sucks, and I do not handle heat well at all, I am such a wuss. The AC repairman was supposed to squeeze me in this afternoon and he still hasn't showed, so I'm lookin at another hot night of no sleep. :smt019
Oh God, me too. I do not do well in extreme heat. I need to have it cool when I sleep and fans blowing around hot air is NOT A/C. LOL. I hope he comes tomorrow!!
I've been MIA as my grad class finally finished on Friday. Also, I had to get a new car, and a new computer...that's a house, a car, and a computer...within six months of each other! Oy vey! BF and I have been solidifying our plans for the cruise to the Bahamas...booked our flights to Miami days before the EPIC CAR AND COMPUTER FAIL OF 2010!!. lol *headdesk* Ah well...I have a few months to try to recover from this insanity anyway. Oh, and met the BF's son for the first time on Friday night when he brought him over. I was terrified, but it worked out OK. The kid really liked me for some odd reason (probably because I have play doh skills that would rival Michelangelo's sculptures! lol).
Me too, at this point I'm considering calling them and asking who I have to blow to go to the front of the line. :smt081
It all happens at the same time. It sucks. I had a bad situation happen to me, financially, right at the holidays. SUCKED!! Anyway, I hope you can recover quickly!! LOL! I don't blame you!!
I figure, at this point, I have at least three solid years before things start acting up again, so I am just going to start stockpiling cash in my mattress. lol
Please tell me you got your air fixed....I was sweating just thinking of you having none....ughhh :smt103
Nope, not yet. However the repair guys are in my backyard as I type. I got tired of waiting, after another night of not great sleep cause it's like 85 in here, and so I pulled the manual for the AC, flipped the breaker and went out to open the unit. I determined it appeared that the capacitor was the problem, so I called them back and told them that. Turns out I'm right and at least they brought one with them, so hopefully it'll be working again soon. I am so not built for heat, if I'm in an environment that's over about 65 degrees for any length of time I just do not do well at all. I'm grouchy x2 right now! Thanks for thinking of me though TCFG, you're a sweetie.
Just saying to myself, THANK GOD THERE IS A WW/BM WEBSITE. At least here there are highly educated people to talk to . I'm sick and tired of these no nothing dumb ass ignorant stupid ass people who I have to deal with on a daily basis. THE DECLINE AND FALL OF THE UNITED STATES IS AT HAND.
I feel like I am not getting any where. I am going to college for my masters but I just feel like I have not accomplished anything noteworthy. I also feel I don't have as much money as I originally intended to have.Jobs prospects look slim right now You would not believe how hard it is.
it's tough out there at the moment...keep your head down, bum up and it will all work out...!!! believe in yourself and your path angel...!!!
Well that's kinda normal Archangel. I hope to hell no one would respond with discouraging words upon hearing someone's having a hard time! Tarshi's right, just keep working towards your goal. You may feel like you aren't making progress sometimes, or that you're just hanging on, but that beats going backwards. Persistence pays off, but sometimes it requires equal parts patience.
Bless your heart, Espy. I hope they get it fixed soon. I don't do well in the heat either. I only enjoy sweating during two activities, and sleeping is not one of them. Hang in there, Arch. I know that things might not look promising now, but you never know what is just around the corner. :smt056
