i fully relate. and i think the main thing is the form of the habit. like... "tonight i want to write, let me start up the zone with a fresh bag and a couple cold ones." next thing you know, everytime you want to write, you are like, "i need..." bad pattern to start and for many tough to break once they're in it. plus, dayum near every session you go to, what's always around to bring the "team" together? hahaha
I have 2 movie credits on my imdb.com page. Woohoo!!! :smt023 Now I just need to start making money from them. :smt081 (That ain't ever going to happen).
Congrats Chica... Never say never! Fuckin' ants are back again. I saw 4 in the past few days. When it was in the 100s, 90s and late 80s, I kept my window shut. The one day I decide to open it (since the temp has gone down), here come those bastards. I've been spraying Ortho like a mf'a, but it's obviously not working enough. I can't wait for the exterminator to come...
Ants hate soapy water,,, I mixed a lot of hand soap with water in a spray bottle and overdose the spot where ants come through and it both kills them in their tracks and prevents them coming in. I learned this from my late Grandmother and it works!!!
You know, I found them in 4 different places. One was on my bed! (last time I had spiders and 2 of them were in my bed). I only want a man in my bed, not insects! lol I'm so clean, so this really bothers me. I know it doesn't matter, but I make sure theres no crumbs or anything. I know it's the weather, but the temp is a lot cooler now. I hate that I opened that damn window (like I knew this was going to happen...lol). My last ant problem stemmed from keeping my balcony open all night and day during our heatwave (before I knew this was going to occur). With all that said, I don't know where the root of where they're coming from. I sprayed the window. I'll try your soap thing. I need some regular soap cause mine is green apple. Thank you CB!
I'm so sorry to hear this, IB. Please keep us posted on your family. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. :smt056 Bookie, I know that the waiting is the worst part. You are in my prayers as well. I hope that it turns out to be nothing too. :smt056 I'm reading 'Eat Pray Love' too. I love it. It makes me feel at peace with the world. It's a great book. :smt023
Thank you Chica! Everyones in good spirits, just waiting for their appointments to come up and have their tests done, then we'll take it from there. My friend loves that book. She wants to move to Bali for a year...lol
i'm so so sorry joanie...!!!! i hope everything goes well for him & i'm sending all my love to you :smt058
You're welcome, honey. Being in good spirits is half the battle sometimes. Hang in there. Moving to Bali for a year would be awesome. I would love the 'eat' and 'love' part of the book. I'm not too sure about the 'pray' part. I don't feel like I have to give everything up to get that lesson, but people do what they feel like they need to do.
It's a really good book, and I enjoyed the movie, though not everyone did. It's made me realize how happy I am with my life, and that I'm where I'm supposed to be. I would recommend it to anyone.
Thank you, lovely ladies. I appreciate the thoughts and prayers. Yes, that book makes me want to go on my own adventure. It's a good book and it does make me feel more at peace with myself. And it also gives me validation that finding my inner peace is exactly what I need right now, because like her, my life isn't where I want it to be at the moment. If only a publishing company would give ME money to go on my own soul-searching mission and write a book about it. LOL. I wouldn't want to do the "Pray" part either. I have zero interest in visiting India. I don't know why. I'd do the "Pray" part in Israel though. A friend of mine joked that if she were to do an Eat Pray Love tour, hers would be titled, "Eat Barf Sleep". :smt081
I would also recommend it. I saw the movie before reading the book and I liked both. I think they did as good a job as they could with the movie, though they could have explained things a bit better in the India part. I didn't understand the prayer that she was having trouble with, in the movie. But once I read the book, I was like, ohhhhhhh, okay. LOL. IB, it's a good book that will help put things into perspective, I think.
I just came back from taking a test which I am pretty sure i bombed. Any how, I bought some oyster soup I guess you would call it. It is like clam soup but with oyster. It tastes great. This is the first time I can actually enjoy eating oyseter. I also got my magic jack. I can now call outside of my area code. Yippe!
