I must be missing something Books. I was in Chicago a few months ago and in my short visit, it felt drastically improved from what I remember before I left. Areas like Beverly and Hyde Park had undergone massive transformation. It seems like someone was doing something right.

I can't speak for the rest of the state, because even when I lived there it was only Chicagoland area that really mattered. Illinois might be the one state that most Americans can only name 1 city from...
