Religious?I cannot identify with a bi guy either. Too unnatural which I know sounds strange regarding a supernatural show but it is how I feel.

I would agree if it were every kind of person in the LGBTQ community its mostly if not only black men. I don't see shows where the gay best friend is an Asian lesbian or a trans Indian guy its almost always a black dude and usually someone who takes on feminine traits.
BTW, Ubisoft is giving away the PC version of "Assassin's Creed: Unity" for free for a limited time: https://news.ubisoft.com/en-us/article/348227/supporting-notre-dame-de-parisGamer World News Entertainment host Tian Wang on the accurate maps of the Notre Dame Cathedral within the Assassin's Creed video game.
I think the biggest issue with the representation of gay black men is that they always fit the “subservient black male” trope. It’s a continuation of the “yes boss, sure boss” narrative. The difference is that a lot of feminist driven shows (I say feminist driven as female driven tends to be different and actually have solid storytelling), are using gay black men as their “subservient black male” trope. I’ve seen it among both black feminist shows and white feminist shows. It’s really offensive, and I wish that community wasn’t so eager for acceptance/work. They end up selling themselves, and it’s sad. That's wasn't what I was alluding to, but I understand that. And that have to do with how they feel about straight black men when it comes to ''their'' women, and how docile a lot of gay black men tend to be. TRUST if the gay black community weren't submissive to this system of white supremacy, had issues with black men dating white women, ect. they would not like those brothas very much either. Just look beyond these gay black male characters' sexuality and observe their personality, relationships with the white characters and how the only important thing they make about them ARE their sexuality.
Yeah I get that but for years the black male best friend was straight ie Veronica Mars Alex Mack One Tree Hill etc all non threatening dudes who supported their usually female superior instead of being secretly in love and later hooking up which is what they do when both people are white. Again something smells rotten in Denmark my friendThat's wasn't what I was alluding to, but I understand that. Yup. And like I said if the agenda were representation why only in this form?I think the biggest issue with the representation of gay black men is that they always fit the “subservient black male” trope. I’m not a homophobe, so I have no issue with black lgbtq representation. But, when the representation only features black male lgbtq members because straight black men won’t play the subservient roles, I get beyond disgusted. Which, I believe, is the issue a majority of you have with this current state of lgbtq representation.
AgreedYup. And like I said if the agenda were representation why only in this form?
It serves to kill several birds with one stone without ruffling the almighty white advertising dollar. With a black gay male main character, they don't have to worry about pairing him up with any of the white female leads.Yeah I get that but for years the black male best friend was straight ie Veronica Mars Alex Mack One Tree Hill etc all non threatening dudes who supported their usually female superior instead of being secretly in love and later hooking up which is what they do when both people are white. This is why I stans so hard for Jordan Peele. He's doing for us what black female directors or show runners in the mainstream didn't even try to.

The season finale of American Gods looks like it is going to be crazy, I have really enjoyed this season much more than the first one to be honest. Orlando Jones as Mr Nancy has just killed the entire season.
With Avengers, American Gods, and of course the battle of winterfell all next weekend I think something like this is going to happen to every nerd brain.

A buddy of mine says he's skipping Captain Marvel because of Brie Larson's anti-male, feminist, woke bs. This is a black guy who's seen every MCU movie. What do you guys think?
The only feminist thing I noticed was the silly "her" turning into "hero" in the trailer. The rest of it just seems like any other superhero movie.
I'm going to see it because as far as I'm concerned the MCU is a big budget TV series and Captain Marvel is an episode before the season finale (Avengers: Endgame).
Even if I wasn't a hardcore MCU junkie, I'd still go see it as a personal protest against the trolls who attack anything with a woman or black person in the lead role, after all, a lot of the same guys who are calling Captain Marvel "anti-male" were calling Black Panther "anti-white."
From a commentary I was listening to earlier this week, she definitely seems a liberal feminist-pandering type. On the press tour for "Captain Marvel", she's talking about white dudes in media and is refusing to be interviewed by them to impress PoC & give them opportunities.
I don't know about you @darkcurry, but that's so cringe-worthy to me.
I hadn't heard about her refusing to be interviewed by white men, that is needlessly divisive. I wish Hollywood and media types would stop turning everything into a race/gender conflict.
These are Her comments about being more inclusive on press tours

Here are her quotes clarifying

Here she is in her OWN words being interviewed by... A WHITE MAN! lol.
Please if you have ANY direct comment she made about not wanting to be EVER interviewed by white men and the pandering to black people show me! I find nothing wrong with what she said. If this is pandering to black people just what are we looking for white famous people to do with their privilege in a white dominant area? She want to bring more diversity to the press room. That's bad? lol.
You’ve got a busy weekend ahead.I got an Saturday showing for Avengers: Endgame hopefully the afternoon on a Saturday isn't too packed.
I'm trying my hardest to be able to watch American Gods and GoT back-to-back. I might wind up watching Game Of Thrones a little later if The season finale of American Gods runs a little longer or is as intense as episode 7 was.
You’ve got a busy weekend ahead.
I’m always free... because I chose not to marryI'll be free too.
Yo, everytime I look through my YouTube recommendations it's always filled with new Brie Larson videos. These white nerds have it out for her:
From the few videos I watched, it looks like the rest of the Avengers cast don't fucc with Brie based on the body language & snippy comments in these cast press interviews.
Ya know, all this stuff actually makes me like her more. It's kinda like how I sometimes like to go for ladies with RBF hahahaYo, everytime I look through my YouTube recommendations it's always filled with new Brie Larson videos. These white nerds have it out for her:
