Idris is teasing his Twitter followers with a Bondian catchphrase. Maybe you're onto something. lol

^ Yeah, so he could be just making moves, making sure he gets the money he wants for it along with other things.

I think the (non-racial) consensus is that Idris is too old to start playing the role. I guess it makes sense that they would want someone mid 30s or younger who can play Bond for a decade or more.

At 45 Edris is just a kid compared to 56-year-old Tom Cruise who has starred in 8 action movies since he was Idris's age.

Denzel Washington's first major Action role (The Book Of Eli) was made when he was in his 50's, he is now in his mid 60's and he is still starring in action movies.

So if those two guys can be action stars with AARP cards, Idris Elba can be a 45-year-old James Bond, as far as I'm concerned.

Not to mention Idris is in tremendous shape and can still pass for 35 if he darkens up that grey hair. lol. But I kind of get where @qaz1 is going with this with the whole making Bond younger thing, but that is not what everybody else is thinking. They want Elba. From the fans to the producers they want Elba.

You left out Liam Neeson lol. But I actually agree with you. I'm all for Double-0 Idris. Show me the printing, and I'll sign. I'm just relating what I've gathered.

Hey I don't need any convincing. The first seasons of The Wire and Luther convinced me this guy can act any part he wants.

Exactly, Liam Neeson's whole career changed after he did Taken when he was 56. I think the people who are against Idris Elba being James Bond have another reason that they don't want to admit to.

I seen the TODAY show covering the story about Idris Elba being the next Bond when I got to work this morning. I think this is picking up steam where they have to make a move now before it dies out. At least near the end of August or around September. This amount of coverage for a rumor I KNOW you don't got to tell them that there's money to be made with this decision. Pay and give Idris whatever he wants to get him this role and Idris needs to make a move now before it's too late.

Great news all around for a really good show. I been watching and also appears the lead of the show has romantic history with Melanie Lynskey's character.

    Dammit I'm in

This trailer got me geeked. The first season was bunk, but I'm all in with this. Daughters of the Dragon! Steel Serpent! YES

In another news: the Star Trek Discovery S2 trailer didn't do a thing for me. How to destroy a franchise. Sad
