Very good post, it is nice to read someone who is empathetic & really does want to move forward with positive things, there is enough war in the world, a black man & woman should not be at war with one another. If anything, they can be an example for the rest of society of how to be united. Someone who has a chip on their shoulder like how you describe may forget that the white woman might be feeling oppression by her choice of being in an interracial relationship. When she makes that choice, haters she encounters will give her a hard time, it is a rocky road for her as well.

You have the right to disagree but I highly doubt that any white woman that visit this site owns a plantation and is enslaving black people. I mean you actually wrote that you disagree that white women here are not enslaving black people it's a fact that slavery has ended. And if you believe that why are you visiting this site you don't strike me has the type of guy that would be interested in a interracial relationship.

Reaping the benefits of past injustices is different from enslaving or oppressing anyone. For example if a father steals a toy for his child and the child enjoys the toy it doesn't mean that the child is responsible for the thief the father is.

And also remember, that whites love to live in the past, so long as it's a past that makes them feel good and shows them as heroes. So whether its waxing emotional about the greatness of their founding fathers, or waving an US flag, or prattling on about some ancestor who died in nam, the point is the same : To lift up the past and to remain stuck there, at least for a while. But let anyone suggest the less noble side of that same past and watch how quickly history gets relegated to the ashbin of the irrelevant.

Wait a minute every single race on this planet does the same thing. Blacks, Asians, whites and so on celebrate the positive side of their history. All races and ethnic groups ignore the evil committed by their ancestors.

Finally - Why do white people get angrier at black people for pointing out white racism than they do at white folks for practicing it ? Do they not see that the reason they have so much anxiety about how someone might call them a racist if they say the wrong thing, is because they've been so silent in the face of white racism ? Most, if not all of the white people in here DO AND SAY NOTHING when they see or hear racism from family and friends, yet they will come in here and tell us to get over it or we have a chip on out shoulder. Okay I think you maybe a troll that a sweeping indictment of a entire race. I think you maybe suffering from some prejudice yourself your assuming a lot. Where in this forum have you read a white woman statement telling black folks to get over racism. Sometimes whites are defensive because us black folks are racially sensitive and that's not our faults it's understandable it was how this society was designed. Racism is dogma it wont go away only thing you can do is manage it. Any white woman in a relationship with you must battle depression after the guilt trip you put her thru and yet it's your opinion and your entitled to it.
 
lots of white women during slavery in teh Americas were complicit in the slavery of black men and women from africa. they benefitted from it and supported the lynchings as acts to protect their white womanhood. also, they made up large population of the KKK. one doesnt have to have the money to be an oppressor, read history

seriously, we were fighting, killing, and enslaving ourselves before the white man came. Shit, some of the stuff we still do today. Who we gunna blame now? Billy Dee Williams and Colt 45?

History seems to have dealt such an unhealthy blow to my black American brothers. At least the rest of us here in Africa have a different history to reflect upon, but when all is said and done, it is always a great idea to try to forge towards a new social dispensation.:smt030
