Very good post, it is nice to read someone who is empathetic & really does want to move forward with positive things, there is enough war in the world, a black man & woman should not be at war with one another. If anything, they can be an example for the rest of society of how to be united. Someone who has a chip on their shoulder like how you describe may forget that the white woman might be feeling oppression by her choice of being in an interracial relationship. When she makes that choice, haters she encounters will give her a hard time, it is a rocky road for her as well.

Reaping the benefits of past injustices is different from enslaving or oppressing anyone. For example if a father steals a toy for his child and the child enjoys the toy it doesn't mean that the child is responsible for the thief the father is.

Wait a minute every single race on this planet does the same thing. Blacks, Asians, whites and so on celebrate the positive side of their history. All races and ethnic groups ignore the evil committed by their ancestors.

lots of white women during slavery in teh Americas were complicit in the slavery of black men and women from africa. they benefitted from it and supported the lynchings as acts to protect their white womanhood. also, they made up large population of the KKK. one doesnt have to have the money to be an oppressor, read history
