In regards to the rain in Australia saw some clips of it on Euronews, a small town was like a river through the main street in one of the clips I saw.

Looked like the kind of rains you see during monsoon season in Bangladesh.

do you remember where in australia it was...??? we've been going through a severe draught...it's been going on for so long and is so bad that us melbournites have been restricted to 4 minute showers

From what I gathered it was regions around North Queensland, close to Cairns.
