You're response was just beautiful...yes a precious stone.....a perfect analogy.....thank you so much...it made my heart hurt a wee bit, in a good way :D

Well, I say go for it, follow your instinct, if you don't you could very well regret it for the rest of your life....!!!!!

I wish you both mountains of happiness and contentment and when you hit the rough patches just remember to fight clean!!!

    LOL Lucifermorningstar,

Look I know I am dead wrong, maybe I shouldn't have put myself out there like that.....but I am an honest person.

And I figured here is a good place as any to rid myself of this bias, I don't like thinking this way.....

Of course there are good African/Carribean men out there. It just seems to me that many look down on white women as easy and loose, that's all.

Hope I don't get too hated on :D

Good, interesting post BlackmasterJay. I deal with this kinda thing VERY often, and i always wonder about it. A white girl can like my appearance and think that i'm a good looking guy, but they almost ALWAYS expect me to be thug acting, and it seems like it turns them off or something. :( Sometimes i wonder if they're more interested in black men or the stereotypes of black men :?: :?: But, i think a lot of it has to do with age and immaturity though.

Bryant, you're probably right. Young girls don't know what they want. Maybe try an older woman?

oh yeah, i've definitely raised the minimum age limit from 18 to at least 20 or 21. maybe that'll help some, but i'm not sure by how much.

it's also worth noting that i've always felt that older women have something else that younger girls don't particularly have. i just find slightly older women to be much more seasoned and there's something sexy and attractive about it. not too much older to the point where it's ridiculous, but i've found plenty of women attractive who are in their 30's or even early 40's. you know a perfect example would be Kim Catrelle from sex in the city. she's pretty hot. :)

Older women have confidence and self-security that younger women don't have. Some young women do, but they aren't the ones who walk around with half their bodies hanging out. They are the ones that can look classy but yet still feel confident and sexy in jeans and a t-shirt. But older women tend to have more self-confidence, and they are also more responsible and considerate of others. i know this doesn't apply to everyone--my brother's g/f, for instance, is 20, and she is one of the sweetest, most thoughtful, organized and motivated women I know.

Are you being sarcastic or for real? Before I went back to school I had more time to browse the web than now, and I used to come across many such posts on different black and African forums. It bothered me at the time, but now the issue does not concern me anymore. I changed... if I was dating now, I'd be interested in a man of my own ethnic background... somebody who grew up in the same Communist and Post-Communist era as me, somebody who comes from the same socioeconomic milieu or whatever it's called... who would laugh at my gold collection of Russian political jokes... etc

    whaaa

Be urself. If a chick of any color is attracted to a type of guy...then that's what she's gonna go after. Don't be afraid to put urself out there...some of us love the open, straight up, here I am from men...that's why those "thug" guys are so much more attractive at times...u know they are gonna come right out with what they want, and ask for it. It's a very attracting thing...so is confidance. I you are wearing a suit...yeah..ur clean, got ur stuff together...but the chick squirming next to you is going to assume you are too good, and sometimes even the good girls want a bad boy. Show you are a stand up man, and strike a conversation. The worst thing that could happen...she turns u down...is that really that bad when there are so many of us out here looking for what u got to offer?
