Not sure if this site has ever been posted on any of these forums, but from associates I've heard a few things about an African man who works as an independent tour guide for night life in Moscow.

I've been to the Ukraine as well, Kyiv to be specific.

Might have to go this winter since the H1N scare is more than likely going to reduce an already reduced tourist interest in visiting (besides being cold).

If you can....avoid the subways....just my global preference to avoid Euro Riff Raft when in the EU.

I went to Berlin Germany...skins are around, go places that are upscale and you will avoid these idiots. But I got lots of love from the Deutsch (German) Women!

Remember, do your research.....and try to learn some of the language!

 

I think this applies to any destination in europe. If you can speak even a little of the local language it helps a lot. And the accent can be an attraction too. I think this is where african men ofter have an advantage.
Whilst there are always people it is better avoid, there are lots of people who like to meet new people and different nationalities.

Hello, I'm from Moscow. Cannot agree with the statement that Africans are not in much danger. Unfortunately, they ARE in danger. Students are told to come to campus not later than 11 p.m. Not only skinheads but some other idiots may attack black guys in Moscow. Police don't really like applications filed by black guys. When one guy was attacked, er doctors did not treat him well... Lots of examples... However, cannot say that all Russians are racists.

As regards night clubs, I've never been there... But I know that Hungry Duck is really a rubbish. Really don't like alcoholics or narcomans:vom:

As far as I am concerned, I don't let the society prevent me from dating black guys. I just don't care what people say or think or how they look at us!

 

Blossom, you have a lot of guts to date brothers in Moscow. Wished there is a safer area where you can date without harassment.

 

I had a Russian Girlfriend in 2004-2005 I visited her in Moscow and never had any problems andmost people were friendly including guys,even when we where together.

I do not drink alcohol or go to clubs and bars but we did go out late evenings. Maybe I was fortunate.

PS some of the women (majority)in Moscow are wow factor!!!!!

what parts of Moscow are more open to Americans in terms of living neighborhoods.. college areas, perhaps?
