Not saying this is true, but I'll stick it out there anyway..
What if some of the women here feel as if they should be given a pass because they've already "committed" to black men?
    Lmme elaborate a little:
If white people will disown their own for dating black and pretty much let them know every chance they get that they disapprove and at the same time not be "accepted" into the black community but still stay the course, it must get pretty irritating to have someone- who you might expect to be more supportive of cross racial relationships-tell you that you got shit backwards.

Going through all that shit and still remaining with a black man has to count for something, right?

Just a thought. Though, I'm with the crowd that believes that people don't have racial preferences without a reason, whether they know it or not. That goes for black folks who prefer black folks, also.

I'm still waiting for an answer to mine.

And don't pull this shit. You know damn well why you "just can't win...". You spout nothing but garbage against white people, but now you're changing your tune. This message that I replied to was essentially you putting your hands in an "I don't know" shrug and asking, what? What did I do? You know damn well what you did, and I won't repeat it.

So, why don't YOU answer my question and tell me whether or not you just accused every white person of being prejudiced against non-whites....

CAPRICORN-FOR AN ARTICULATE MAN-YOU JUST AREN'T GETTING IT!
yOU ACT AS IF WE DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT YOU AS A BM HAVE HAD CERTAIN DISADVANTAGES IN LIFE AND THAT WE AS WW HAVE HAD CERTAIN ADVANTAGES! I GUESS YOU MISSED THE POST WHERE I SAID WE KNOW THAT! WOULD YOU HAVE US SLIT OUR WRISTS BECAUSE WE ARE WHITE! IT ISN'T THE FACT THAT THE TOPIC OF RACISM WAS BROUGHT UP- IT'S YOUR ATTITUDE. IF YOU CAN'T SEE THAT YOU ARE RUDE AND ARROGANT , THEN MAYBE YOU NEED TO GO TO THE BLACK PANTHER FORUM OR SOME OTHER FORUM THAT WANTS TO HEAR YOU RANT AND RAVE WITH THAT TYPE OF ATTITUDE. YOU KEEP SAYING WE NEED TO ACKNOWLEDGE OUR PRIVILEGES AND MY GOODNESS WE DO! NOW END OF SENTENCE. WE ARE TIRED OF YOU-AND IF YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND THAT-THEN GET SOMEONE ELSE TO EXPLAIN IT TO YOU. THE ONLY NERVE THAT WAS TOUCHED IS WHAT A COCKY , ARROGANT , MAN YOU ARE TO ASSUME YOU KNOW HOW THE WHITE MIND WORKS AND WE HAVE NO IDEA HOW YOUR'S WORKS. YOU ASSUME TO KNOW HOW ALL WHITE PEOPLE THINK AND ACT. GO TELL IT TO SOMEONE ELSE.

Thanks for brightening up my day! HAHAHAHA!! Really. Thanks! Because you seem to think that the words of some random cyber space dude will really affect me. They don't.

You come here spouting all of this stuff and then turn around and tell me I have problems. Yeah, okay. I'm secure enough in myself and secure enough in my life that your words mean nothing to me.

Thanks and have a nice day, random internet dude.

    ignore him, ladies.

just like you all told me last night...i refuse to say anything to him. we all know that he already knows everything....and the three of us, along with every other white woman on this board, well...we are all just racists to begin with. actually, i forgot to tell you guys....i'm actually a member of the klan, but i decided to marry my husband as a cover up. i really, really hope my cover doesn't get blown. i think capricorn is on to me though...whatever shall i do?

and i guess too, that i really didn't have a right to get upset last night...i mean afterall, he was just speaking truth. AND since i am definitely a racist, i guess i'm just having a hard time living with myself. afterall, the underlying issue is definitely with me...i'm the one who felt attacked for no reason, and i was rightfully accused of being prejudice toward my husband. i feel so enlightened now that all this is out in the open. i'm SO glad that mr. capricorn joined the boards...aren't you gals? yippee!! :smt026

oh, and by the way, girls....i have those klan membership cards that you requested. just let me know when you want them.

    capricornone87,

I agree with your initial post, but you were way out of line implying that superchic has prejudices against her husband. That is a low blow.

    I'd be freakin' pissed too!

I do think that white people, nevermind what they're educated in, who they date or anything else, become racist shortly in the few years after birth.

It is impossible to grow up white in America and not have residual race issues whether acknowledged or even consciously realized.

Race and its nuances are subtly played out in a million ways, interactions, thoughts.

The trick is to be self aware of your own responses and to the whys certain things are a trigger point for you.

If you do this you will learn and grow. From stronge emotion comes truth and growth if the root cause is recognized and analyzed.

I haven't read all the threads but from what the current crop of ww are saying here is that they acknowledge and are aware of their white skin privilege. At least they are, most whites won't concede the point, or are completely oblivious!

The only one who said she doesn't think WSP exist is bookworm(not picking on you but I was surprised at your comment in the other thread).

We could argue it is more about class. It isn't simply that, partly perhaps. But there is no "white racial profiling" while driving....and there are many more examples.

I understood the point you were trying to convey but don't agree with its deliverance, too personal.

I understand what you are speaking of and agree with it.

It is very true what you posted. I saw this first hand with my older sister. She told me after she brought a black football player home to f*ck while in college, that doing that was something "every white girl should try at least once" and that all BM want white girls.

I remember thinking, that's not true many BM don't even find WW attractive!

She is the first one to say she is not racist. She lives on the west coast, hip town. Yet you should have seen how she reacted to my husband, how stilted and fake. Dismayed when I got pregnant. No congratulations but "what are you going to do?!?!"

    WTF

needless to say we barely talk.

I think this dialoge is important to be put out there. More people should talk about it, confront it, heck just acknowledge it. White skin privilege exists, and all whites benefit from it.

    Hey WhiteSheDevil,

While I don't know if you read it, but I had a nice response to your previous message. I see that they deleted my account. I honestly don't know what offended so many of these people so deeply, but if you would like to, I wouldn't mind continuing these discussions with you.

    Thanks

Sure we can talk but we basically agree. For some reason the powers that be aren't interested in that type of conversation. It makes some uncomfortable I guess. Oh well!

damn i missed a good debate.

but what happened to capricorn's posts? i only saw them quoted. it was a bit confusing at first. i thought they were being copied from somewhere else. the shit confused the hell out of me. haa don't tell me dude deleted himself. haaaa

man race is such a touchy topic. the url of this site is very touchy topic. If you have the balls to join a site whose main focus is on such a touchy issue, you should have the balls to deal with peeps like Capricorn. i don't even think dude said shit in a fucked up way. he was very respectful about how he gave his OPINION. I run a diverse message board and i have seen some posts that were like wow how can u think that way in 2008? I don't even enter the debates on my site concerning this because its tiring as hell going back and forth with peeps that speak so ignorantly about this topic. i am very pationate about the subject of dating outside you're race and not just black men dating white women. hell i love all types of women. haaaaa The way some angry black women or i am all about my black queen black men can say some shit trips me out sometimes. I wish most peeps could express their views and opinions the way he did. I didn't see a bit of emotion in his posts. it was his str8 laced opinion.
i am surprised to see peeps get so upset by the things dude said. i don't agree with some of it. but what i love about message boards is that u get many different perspectives of an issue and not just one side that u agree with. seems like peeps here got a lil upset that someone said something different from the norm here. again i am not saying i agree with what dude said. although i think .....hmm i need to read something again

that statement right there seemed like it was the straw that broke the camel's back. my issue with that statement is that he used the word prejudice and that he excluded it to just white folks. i think black folks have the same "prejudices" against there own people and other races. same with whites on whites, asians on asians, hispanics on hispanics. so of course peeps going to have some preconceived thoughts about other races. its only natural. i think its how a person acts on these thoughts that make a person racist or prejudice.(hope that makes sense)

hell when i am walking around the streets of philly some areas i feel comfortable in and some i don't. if i were to be driving the streets of a suburb area and i see a group of black dudes i probably wouldn't check to see if my doors was locked. but if i was driving around the bad areas of philly and i see a group of dudes, i am most likely going to check my locks.

now if a white person was to do that. it would be looked at as being prejudice. i don't feel that its racist to think that way to a certain extent.

peeps seem to be upset cause he said some are intimidated by a black man. come on now, black men are intimidating and we know it. we use it to our advantage sometimes also. thats not saying that ol girls husband or ur bfs intimidate you.

    when he said
i am thinking THEM is referring to who ever the "white person" is having a debate with.
i could be dead wrong though. haaa but that was how i read it.

dammit got to cut this short.

but i am curious if mariah didn't look more white if she would of been posted in this forum.

his posts were removed and only a fractin of them quoted. so you probably didn't get to read 1/4 of what he wrote. It wasn't what he wrote(except for a little) that was the main problem. It was that he was condescending and acted like white people don't know anything about the black experience (which is true)-but in turn acted as if he knew what all white people think and the entire mentality of white people. I am sorry but that is a double standard that is not quite fair! He actually stated most white women are this way or most white people think this or that- which is a little infuriating.
