Dammit! How could I have forgotten? :? He's doing such a bang up job of it, I can't believe that slipped my mind. :wink:
Please elaborate on this bolded statement. Because it's sounding like you think ALL white people are prejudiced against blacks and/or non-whites. And I'd like you to tell me if that is what you're really trying to get across. :?
to be honest, i have no idea what to say back to you. i wasn't planning on saying anything else after my last response. the fact that you accuse me of harboring a prejudice attitude toward my husband...that...wow. how dare you :!: :!: i'm sorry that my last response wasn't up to par, following your "very elaborate explanation". i never argued the truth of any of your historical facts. if you would have read carefully, that's why i said a good portion of my education was in african american studies - i know my history...i don't need you to cram it down my throat. the point i was arguing was the "biracial" term...i was hoping to get a simple answer...instead i got a mile long response - something i didn't find necessary. people like you are what make me hate message boards. considering deleting her account.... :cry:
thanks girls. you make me feel better. but it still hurts so bad to have someone who knows nothing about you, to accuse you of such hatred. i love my husband more than anything. i just...wow.... :smt010
I know superchick. I think he hates white people- and I am not giving another thought to anything he posts. Sorry he upset you. Don't let people like that get to you girl. He will be gone and we will be back to having fun with the guys. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
:evil: Whooooaaaaa! I'd like everybody to stop and breath for a second. Superchic, you're not going anywhere. You're not allowed Cap, bro you're obviously a very versed brotha and I could appreciate the articulate post, trully I did....but perhaps the implied idea of Superchic or any of the ladies on this thread harboring prejudices against their companions is a little too personal. Perhaps you didn't mean it the way she took it, but she took it that way nonetheless. Cyberspace is definitely public, but the last thing we'd like on this board is to begin to create barriers due to animousity. We try to foster an environment where people of "interracial-interests" (particularly ww & bm) can be comfortable sharing common interests, so let's share our perspectives w/out getting too personal. Carry-on good-folk 8) {..damn, he's doing it again, he's being...good, Intrigue is a bastard!!}
But, the problem, Intrigue, is that he doesn't seem to HAVE any interracial interests. He has done nothing but put ww on the defensive since his very first post.
This is true Bookworm-all he has done is come on here and tell ww how privileged we are and given us a history lesson. Not really the forum for him is it?
Intrigue to the rescue!! why don't they have a smilie with a super-hero cape? guess this will have to do... :smt059
:roll: I've certainly given that thought, and I've scratched my head a bit myself. Cap, understand that often we get "visitors" in here who disguise themselves as residents of genuine interest. Then quickly they become an agent of "black-power" and that's not what this board is about. As a black man, a lot of the things you've touched upon I can relate to because we share common experiences as a black man. However, the premise of this board is for caucasian women who have an interest and/or share their lives with black men and vice versa, to come and dialogue about common interests relative to those respective groups. Personally, I leave my trials as a black man outside of this board because this a place I feel is safe "to let my hair down". Even if I don't agree with everything or everyone, they're free to express themselves relative to the premise of this site. So my point is, we're (I'm) hoping you won't follow in the footsteps of the "tresspassers" who've come many times before. Everyone is good-natured here and we'd like to keep the interests w/in the boundaries of title of the website. One-love. :wink:
