Neither am I perfect nor do I look for perfection in a man.However he should at least fulfill my basic criteria in a man aka honest,can converse,charismatic and somewhat handsome and very important humoros.
Then there's many other things I'd like in a man but if he only fulfills some of them or just to a certain degree I can still see how that works out.
There may be SOME women who would just date any guy as long as he's black but I think most have a few essential criteria points a man needs to meet in some way which isn't bad as long as we keep in mind we aren't perfect and neither is anybody else.Stay realistic and you will be able to meet a person that's just right for you.Don't settle for the next best person though if you don't feel they're the one for you because in the time spent with that person you may miss when the right one comes along

 

Every WW has their preference of a brother. I say "She Loves Brothers but,She does not Like You." She will be attractive to one who can push her buttons in attraction and make her interested. Put together common interests and a relationship is born.

What I find interesting about this whole section of threads is that it was designed to discuss the stereotypes and myths that we all face when dealing with the outside world that doesn't date interracially. However, as of late, it seems to have become a debate amongst our own, who believe them to be facts based on their own personal observations. It seems to me that if we can't get this figured out amongst ourselves, how can we ever hope to change or influence the mindset of the people that are against our unions?

As a side note, I'm glad that I don't make sweeping generalizations about a group of people based on a few. If I did, I would never date another black man again based on some of the posts that I've read in the past week or two. Before anyone decides to ask, white men are still an option. My last three boyfriends were white so dating black men is a choice for me...not a last resort as has been portrayed in some of the recent postings.

 

If it helps, Girlie, it's probable that these are not Black Men who have been involved in IR...and in fact it's probable that they aren't Black Men at all. I think they're just here to disrupt.

It just seems like too much of a coincidence that we'd suddenly have an influx of Black Men who date IR but are constantly "observing" negative stereotypes about IR couples. Not likely.
