You need to stop this, my dude. I just finished eating, and you've got me in here about to eat my computer screen LOL But for real, you need to at least post some pics for us!
I decided to go all in on this Sunday mid-season climax to "House of the Dragon" . . . I online sourced a highly rated seafood store called Bob's Seafood Market which is in a richy-rich seaside town in South Jersey (you have to know their products are good if the business is in Northfield, NJ). Going to have a selection live fresh lobsters to choose from Nick said over the phone . . . ranging from $35 to $60 both domestic & foreign lobsters. I often joke about BBQ lamb & lobster but this will be the first time I make it happen. I just bought a new gas grill (Napoleon Rogue 525) which has an integrated smoker box with 710 inches of grilling area so I can sear the lamb high heat flame at 48,000 BTUs for the char-grill marks then go low and slow as long as I like fatside down. I was told by the seafood specialist at my local Shoprite that smoking lobster is the ONLY way to alter or enhance its flavor as grilling it makes no difference from steaming it. Well I am going to grill it and then smoke it for 30 minutes on the Napoleon Rogue with wood chips of some flavor . . . maybe mesquite or something I don't have yet. I cannot wait to see all those beautiful little Black noble children of House Velaryon leading the family procession into the Royal Targaryen wedding feast at the Red Keep . . . I am going to be crying like Jesse Jackson as Barack Obama gave his victory acceptance speech in November 2008 at Grant Park, Chicago, IL
The truth is the D&D failed to expand the world of Westeros sufficiently. In the original GOT they made it seem like if it was not one of the 7 Great Houses, then save for a few like the Tarlys, Boltons, Freys, etc. then they werent important. The fact is that some of the great houses of Westeros were not even the most powerful in their realm, and there were lots of important and powerful houses during the events of GOT. D&D decided to gloss over them or erdaicate them from the story, House Velaryon did exist during the time of GOT. When it comes to the Velaryons though the problem is they are not a great house, in episode 2 Corlys mentions despite being an older Valyrian family than the Targaryens they weren't dragonlords and they basically had to fight and claw to survive for centuries. Corlys came along and changed all that he turned the family into a powerhouse. The problem with that is Spoiler over the next few episodes we see that all of Corlys' plan the build a dynasty in the future as well as the dance of the dragons really fucks the Velerayons hard, being a minor house you nned strong leadership to survive and over time the lack of strong leadership for a House like the Velayons moves them out of the picture. Even the great houses have been close to extinction like the Targaryens after Aegon I died and his first son Aenys(Viserys great grandfather) took the throne it began 5 years of weakness and indeciviness he was literally chased from Kings Landing and had to flee to dragonstone despite having dragons, if not for the efforts of Meagor the Cruel the Tragaryen Dynasty ends. The Lannisters also had a close call, Tywins dad Tytos was very weak, things got so bad during his time that King Aegon V had to send troops 3x to restore order in the Westerlands, Tytos lent money out generously but the people taking never intended to pay it back so they were going broke. Things got so bad Tywin and his brothers had to dipose their father and take over before things got any worse. Its the reason that Tywin is the way he is. Back to HOT D some stills from the upcoming episode you gotta admit Rhaenys is looking kinda MILFY in this episode.
^^All have their season in the sun as I said . . . House Bolton is extinct at the end of season 6 but there was a time they ruled the North and the Starks were in exile. There was even a time hundreds of years back when they would kill Starks and flay their skins then make clothing with it. House Martell didn't always have prominence in Dorne . . . House Dayne is older and more prestigious with legendary martial capabilities. Princess Nymeria upgraded Lord Mors Martell and enabled him to unify Dorne.
Yeah honestly only the Hightowers have really been eternal...and in the books there is very good chance they get smashed by Euron.
ROTFLMAO!!! RR was fine as fuck for a sheep! That marriage would have been consumated in two weeks time MAX!!!!!
Didn’t know that. Thanks for the info. I’m just tired of every time a black male shows up in the fantasy/adventure/sci-fi genres he’s either old, the sidekick, gay or, in some other way less than. I’m seriously getting to a point that, unless we’re portrayed in the same heroic, heartthrob light as our white counterparts, I’d rather there not be any black male characters. Black women are getting tons of shine. Gay black men are getting tons of shine. But, straight black men? Not so much. And, considering this is a genre that straight black males were teased and looked down upon for being into, by black women who thought this stuff was stupid to begin with, has me feeling some kind of way about it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to see sisters get these roles. I’m not looking to take anything away from them. I’m just wondering when does this new era of diversity in these genres trickle down to us? The black elf on Rings Of Power seems legit, so far. Hopefully, his character will break that trend.
I think there is a good chance that HBO greenlights "The Sea Snake and his Seven Voyages" as a future prequel. You will met two more straight black males in "House of the Dragon" next season as well. It has already been approved by HBO.
