OK Ladies and Gentlemen . . . it is almost about that T-I-M-E!!! What foods and drinks will the "House of the Dragon" faithful be prepping to enjoy tonight as episode 4 airs in nearly two hours from now?!? I just attended a postponed Labor Day BBQ at my Aunt Sharon's in Norristown, PA yesterday so I came home with platters of St. Louis hickory smoked pork ribs and shrimp seafood salad plus black church soul food lol!!

I prepared a 14.7 lbs certified angus prime brisket from Wild Fork that I seasoned with Kinders Organic Prime Rib + Hen of the Woods Meat Rub after injecting it with Noble Made's Smoky BBQ Marinade + Roli Roti's Organic Beef Bone Broth. Flame grilled it three days later late Friday night and then turned it fatside down and Mesquite wood chip smoked it low and slow until 1am. Just had a bite of it at the BBQ so tonight . . . Ceraxes, Vhagar & Syrax won't be the only ones enjoying flame-grilled beef!!! Going to be drinking Molson Golden bottles ice cold from the freezer for that 90 minute smoke and delayed buzz effect!! If you don't know already . . . Molson Golden is THE perfect compliment to bold & spicy wings or ribs!!

 

That could be delicious!

 

House of the Dragon Episode 5 Preview

LOL! I don't think I'll ever need to actually see this show. I can be happier just reading reactions here.

 

You've got me curious. Is it because of some kinda incest eek:!) or just plain old sex and nudity?

 

U should get hboMAX!! Event Sunday TV is BACK!!! I have missed having non-bingable content that makes the fandom wait, anticipate and damn near salivate until the next Sunday as "Game of Thrones" once did. It is event television that the audience can plan BBQ Lamb & Lobster around!! I just love the build up each week and this weekend will be the much anticipated Black Velaryon family BBQ entrance to the Red Keep with all the little Velaryon nieces & nephews upfront leading the procession!!!

 

Not to nitpick . . . but more accurately "New Sensations/Digital Sin" than "Brazzers" I would hold .

 

I get you, but I'm WAY more into the binge model. Even an appointment show like this I wouldn't watch til at least mid-season so I could binge one glorious weekend. But I'm not really into GOT because I keep hearing about all the r*pes. Not a fan.

Also, having Black characters kinda sucks. Think about it: they weren't around during the original series (set in this series' future), so you basically know the entire Black line failed to survive. It's like I said elsewhere on this board, I like **happy** endings LOL

Digital Sin/New Sensations have made incest stepfather porn their cashcow for years. They make the majority of it these last 12 years. Brazzers does not make nearly the business focus on that genre of porn. Uncle/niece incest porn has never been done by Brazzers while Digital Sin has done one that I recall years ago . . . Jacky St. Joy directed it surprisingly.

 

The very premise of the series is the Targaryen Family Civil War as it began 200 years prior to "Game of Thrones". This was basically the only way to add the diversity dynamic to the HBO adaptation of "Fire & Blood". I would have elected to make House Strong Black myself because I simply love House Velaryon as they were presented in the books series. As an alternative aSoI&F theorist, I need them to look like this:




How I wish that Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik had elected to keep House Velaryon just like this . . . make House Strong black instead and the diversity dynamic that HBO wanted for “Blood Moon” would still be achieved in “House of the Dragon” . . . black dragon riders and all via the sons of Queen Rhaenyra. We would witness some smoldering and scintillating IR sex scenes between Harwin Strong and her Grace too.

Look at that portrait of Ser Laenor Velaryon . . . put a streak of midnight black hair dye on him and you basically have a doppleganger for Ser Gerold Dayne:


I wanted them to look as they do in “Fire & Blood” because as an alternative aSoI&F theorist . . . the (f)Viserys theory is my one last hope that WINDS will be worth the wait and that King Viserys III, as per the THREE Valyrian blood traits on page 374 of "Fire & Blood" (purple eyes, aquiline nose and silver-white hair) is still alive under the false identity of Ser Gerold Dayne:

Some of the Starks and Tyrells and Lannisters you know from the main series are not in their season of success yet while the Targaryens are obiviously in the sun shining as are their kin the Velaryons but remember both of them have fallen out of season by the time "Game of Thrones" premieres. And so it was . . . as other families like Baratheon and Tyrell rose to power . . . they fell out of power and the sun set on their success.

Furthermore, there are not going to be many, if any at all, rapes on this HBO adaptation of "Fire & Blood" as it is under new management and the backlash from "Game of Thrones" has been taken under advisement by the new Executive production team of Ryan Condal and Miguel Sapochnik. So @qaz1 this is the mid season finale as the season is 10 episodes long and the time jump is going to take place in episode 6. It is worth it as I did so last September and Netflix has nothing on par with the quality of "House of the Dragon" and other shows like "Warrior" or movies like "Dune"

I guess my issue isn't with this particular Black family, it's with having Black people in this series at all. It's like, "there **used to be** Black people, but they're long gone now" (by the first GOT series). I'd prefer a future series that was far more diverse, but I assume there's nothing like that in the books.

Glad to hear there's less/no rape. Just can't see why anyone would ever wanna watch that. Just my humble opinion of course

 

Funny thing is @qaz1 that now that the HBO suits have acknowledged that the world has changed and evolved since the Age of Obama (took them long enough lol) when the HBO adaptation of aSoI&F was in its planning stages . . . to quote the Queen of Thorns "Well you can't squirt the milk back up the Cow's udders". So the Snow series is going to have to have a substantial diversity dynamic and GRRM is already on board with the sequel. I don't know how they will pull that off as the series starts beyond the fallen wall but hey I had no idea they were going to make House Velaryon a family of predominantly Black nobles either so. Perhaps we get a "b" plot with the Summer Isles and their commerce in Oldtown which is book canon?? We will surely get the "Sea Snake and his Voyages" prequel to "House of the Dragon" as Steve Toussaint has been widely acclaimed even by right-wing conservatives on YouTube so the goal of casting a charismatic younger version will be a most sought after role for young black Hollywood and Europe too.

Some families go extinct entirely over time on "Game of Thrones" so it just was that House Velaryon got engaged in the Targaryen Civil War and all that internal fighting led to the fall of their prominence. At least they had their season of success as did the Black Pharoahs from Kush that ruled Egypt for a time . . . it happens. The family is not extinct like House Strong is so there is a hope that they can make a resurgence in future projects I guess . . . if I was Ryan Condal and had my way that would not even be a possibility as I would have cast Lord Lyonel Strong and his two sons and two daughters as black characters rather than race-swap House Velaryon. You would see Nat Turnher from HBO's "WestWorld" and "True Detective" cast as BIG BLACK Ser Harwin "Breakbones" Strong:

I just took 3.2lbs of 100% grass fed imported New Zealand boneless lamb shoulder from the freezer. This Sunday could be the BEST episode of "House of the Dragon" yet as mid-season climaxes tend to harvest fruit from all the previous four plot foundational episodes based on my experience with "Game of Thrones", "Spartacus" and even "Legacies". Every fan should think ahead towards this EVENT and join in the festivities of the episode . . . a Royal Targaryen wedding banquet is no minor affair!! Cook or buy something special and treat your family/friends. I have one of the last remaining bottles of Trader Joes Honey Allepo sauce and will inject it all into this lamb tomorrow then rub it down with Partana Imported Unfiltered Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and season it with Bougie BBQ South Pacific Pineapple Rub and Kinders Organic Prime Rib. Flame grill it meat side down on Sunday for 10 minutes then put it on baking sheet lined with GrillFoil Reynolds Wrap fat side down low and slow for 50 minutes. Finish it of with Trader Joes Organic Bold & Spicy Pineapple BBQ Sauce first . . . then a coating of Kosmos Q Pineapple Heat Rib Glaze!!
