"Inspiration isn't something you can schedule, harness, or control. Inspiration is more like food poisoning: it sprays out uncontrollablly when you need it the least." - The Oatmeal
Anger is a condition in which the tongue works faster than the mind. You can't change the past but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future.
Who is the happiest of men? He who values the merits of others, and in their pleasure takes joy, even as though 'twere his own. - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
:smt023 You know that one that says "dance like nobody's watching, love like you've never been hurt" etc. ? I googled it to, look for a pic and found this. More for the funny thread but anyway....LOL
My brother told this to me years ago, and I used it on a friend today. "Always forward, never straight". I found a nice paragraph in a blog about it: One day my friend used the phrase “always forward, never straight.” It was at that moment, with that phrasing, that I learned to embrace it. For me, the words were no longer referring to direction. They were referring to life. As we live and grow, we are always moving in some direction. I’d like to live my life in such a way that I’m always moving forward. I might be moving to the right or the left, with big U-turns and in leaps at some points, baby steps at others – but always forward. Always learning, building, challenging myself – falling and then rising again. As long as I’m moving forward, why would I want to go straight? Truth. Always forward, never straight. http://changethewayyouthink.wordpress.com/2009/12/08/always-forward-never-straight/
