battle la got shitted on by many people, but i actually like it. i watched it twice so far. True Grit on the other hand got stellar reviews, but i think it sucked.

 

True Grit did so damn well because white people LOVE period pieces and are marveled by child acting. I totally agree that movie sucked monkey nuts. It was slow and to unrealistic for my taste. Two thumbs way down.
