I agree with you ACartoon. I remember years back reading a article from the Voice newspaper a black newspaper based in London about Black Brits in Oz dating the locals.

what's the BM population like in Brisbane?

Icelandic women are all good. Wished there are more on this board along with other Scandinavian women.

 

I still think European women are more open and accepting of IR relationships. I guess this is due to the large population from the former colonies. And many young WW are very active in helping our African immigrants.
I always though Auatralia was very closed to immigrants.

For what it's worth - here's my 2c worth

Australia isn't closed to immigrants - the entire country is made up of immigrants - my primary school of 1200ppl was half foreign...

We are very white though (IMO). I would guess the largest non European population here is asian - mostly Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and south-east. followed by indians.

We have very few black (african decent) people here.

To answer the previous question about the BM population in Brisvegas - it's extremely small...limited to students and refugees - mostly from Sudan, Libera and some other west african countries. And if you don't live in the areas where they have located - you would hardly notice. I live near a uni and catch the bus through the area where the fed's have located a lot of the Sudanese refugees - so to me, there seems to be a lot.

Having said that, however, it's clear to see that the majority of the refugees are still in African head-space. Which, i have no problem with (I can only imagine the difficulties for these people having been through civil war then moving to Brisbane of all places)...but in terms of IR dating - I imagine that would make it pretty hard to progress into something long-term and stable...And they seem to stick to their own people a lot (understandably)

They're just great to check out on the bus. When the word "black" was used to describe skin colour - it must have been for these people. Their skin is just unbelievable!

Don't have to. There are all kinds of examples in these threads on this site as well as in real life. Plus maybe whites don't feel the need to PROCLAIM :smt026 it like black folks do :!:

 

Amen. It seems like some people on this board (no names shall be mentioned, they know who they are) will expect every "big name" white celebrity to wear a sign on her forehead indicating that she likes black man. Doesn't work quite that way, fellas. Besides, the amount of time you spend analyzing the lives of celebrity reveals how much a person doesn't have a life. Just my opinion.
