I can imagine. There's a reason why there are so few fighters beyond 40. Especially if you add grappling with blunt force trauma.
You doing a muy thai fight or full on mma?
I train whatever I can...muay thai, boxing, nogi wrestling, judo.
I need to train more in the gi. Less impact on the body plus it helps to learn how to fight off your back vs creating a scramble (wrestling).
Yeah you have to learn how to fall and stuff. Wrestling is a hard class but it's not a bunch of blunt force. I think judo is harder for that. I'm doing more technique and sparring less but at the same time gotta prepare my training partners as well.
Easy to "go hard in the paint" in grappling and sparring and I need to stop it lol.
Speaking of which, a friends 12 yo daughter just had her first cage fight the other weekend. Full MMA, she and her opponent, another 12 yo girl were fighting like champs! Could best a lot of adult men lol. It was awesome
Welcome back my friend, let us know how it goes and keep us posted ön the fight
I always commend martial artists. It such an amazing sport! Maybe when I'm older I will just start taking karate lol.
Hopefully I will have a video
