    Thanks to the anonymous repper.

    I AM ecstatic that Rauner has appeared to win (though nothing will be conceded until every vote is counted).

    Why am I ecstatic? Because the Democratic Machine that is politics in Illinois has gotten a little less powerful.

    Rauner may not be the best choice for my state, but IMHO, he can't be any worse than our current governor.

    Illinois is drowning and we needed a change and we needed it NOW. I'm happy to see that others felt the same way.

    Hopefully now Illinois can finally start to reverse the trend, even if only a little bit.

    I'm not happy with Dick Durbin keeping his seat. They're going to pull some shady stuff with his seat in the near future, and that is not right. It'll be the Stroger fiasco/shady deal all over again.
