I think men look for what's not there and I think women over look what is there. Most women I've observed are looking for happiness through a partner and that's where they usually fail.

I don't know. I don't see a lot of men looking for ideals when looking for a spouse. When looking for someone to bang yes but for a wife its usually a chick who will be supportive that's attractive. Men aren't really trying to get the best bang for their buck as they say.

It's the kind of thing that falls on deaf ears with people like that. He's intelligent and knows its creepy but doesn't care. He finds it entertaining so he'll continue to do that horseshit. I recently shut down my fb because I just don't need the headache anymore. It's really unfortunate but apparently its the new world we live in. I seriously miss the days of confrontation when one man wouldn't do bs like that out of fear of getting his teeth kicked in.

You are taking about seeking happiness in the oppsite sex. All humans do, just in different ways. In the end, its the same thing. Just in different ways. Just the way each sex is self centered, but in different ways, end result the same thing.
Men just tend to officially deny that a whole lot more than women. In my almost 50 years, the men and women crying about the opposite sex is pretty equal. Saty has it right; women look for a good hump just as much as men do, the heartache is pretty equal. The cause slightly different.

I'm not upset about it. We had a really good run and we're still friends but she hates the suburbs and my work schedule and I'm not willing to change any of that right now. I want the best for her and she wants the best for me and I'm ok with that. Thanks for the concern guys.

I don't think Saty said women won't a good hump even though I would agree with you they do. I think his point was that women have so many options they often get overwhelmed and have no clue what they want. Men usually lack options and complain about it at leas that's what I got from what he was saying.

I think what it boils down to is that women generally have longer term goals than men and as a result it leads to severe miscommunication. Women do enjoy sex but not in the way men do. Women seek connection more than men.

lol not at all like I said she made a believer out of me. We still love each other and every once and while share that quality time but without going into too much detail it wasn't working.
We both made compromises but one thing I won't compromise on is work and not because I'm stubborn but more so because I know myself. If I lost an opportunity or my livelihood trying to appease what she wanted I know I'd resent her so it's better to end things while we still care about each other rather than having the same arguments over and over.
And to be completely honest she's only 23 I think she's happier with idea of a boyfriend more so than a relationship if that makes sense.

Actually you mind find this interesting but I've been spending time with two women as of late and one is in her late 20s and one is in her early 30s.
And the funny thing is I dated the girl in her early 30s when we were in our early 20s and again in our late 20s. She recently asked me why things never seem to catch traction with us and I told her I was worried she was looking for marriage so I thought it was better to leave her alone and let her find someone who was in that place. Shorty laughed and said who said I was looking for marriage next just ask me.
Which proves I really don't know everything lol
