This is the random conversation thread, so I'm making a really random comment. I want to live in Chantilly, VA. I don't know anything about it or even where in VA it is, but I love the name. I want to move there. That is all.

Another random comment. I have fallen in love with the 2014 Ford F-150 4-door with xm satellite radio, sync with iphone feature, slide out step side, sliding back window, black leather seats, lumbar support and push button start (remote start). Be still my heart!:smt049

Thanks and stuff

I read something the other day that kind of stuck with me. "Thanks Giving is Thanks Living"
I liked that a lot, and decided to do some Thanks Living as often as possible. Yesterday I had an early Thanksgiving dinner with family out of town. Tomorrow I will again be traveling out of town to spend time with my youngest heartbeat (grand daughter), who was born 87 days early and weighed in at 2 lbs 6 oz on July 4th. She is now 12 lbs. and doing incredibly well. I will also be spending some time, while there, with some old friends that I haven't seen in years. On Thursday I will spend the day with my family here, and by Saturday I will be on the sofa in pj's with an alka seltzer and some hot chamomile tea with honey.

 

So, I met this chick...

... and she talked

..... and she talked

I'd ask how her day was, and I'd get every fucking detail

From some story that I barely payed attention to about the coffee cup on her desk
To some story about a 3D printer
To some story about I don't know what else

..... and she kept talking
.... and she kept talking
... and she kept talking

Then she'd ask me how my day was

and I'd reply something along the lines of "It was Ok. Was busy. I worked."

... and she talked
.... and she kept talking

Then she'd ask me why I wasn't very talkative in our conversations.
To which I replied telling her that I don't have to be, I just lead into a conversation and she carries out the rest on her own.
All I had to do was toss in an 'uh huh' or a 'yeah, I know what you mean' and that was good enough for her

So really, I wish my Playstation had a vagina. I'm quite enjoying my solitude and GTA right now.

Haha, my roommate was the same way. If I got him talking, there was no way I could get him to shut up. He thought I was mad at him because I'd walk past his room without saying "Hi". But I knew the "hi" would turn into a 3 hour "discussion".

 

The best part about going to sleep, is wondering whether you will wake up the next day or forever be asleep, without regrets or any feeling of doubt. The story ends abruptly and finally, you will attain what you've yearned for quite some time: happiness.

 

Well, since you asked......

 

Last weekend, glasses got stepped on at the club.

Last night, I step on my other pair of glasses.

Last night, phone wouldn't charge anymore.

Right now, sick as balls.

 

Well at least you know you're due some good luck.fam.

 

Things come in threes so all the bad luck is over.... TDK is right, good luck is headed your way for sure... Get well soon.

 

I read an article today on MSN about what to do if you HATE your job - which I absolutely do.

They mention figuring out what it is exactly that makes you hate your job and finding ways to improve those. And at the very end they say, if you still hate your job after trying these different things, then it's time to sit down and figure out what it is about a job that you do want and to not hold back. They gave examples of what to think about:

"Get specific about all of the things that are important to you that you want to have in your next job. Here are a few ideas: the company reputation, your office space, the people in it, the benefits, location, commute, desired salary, the resources you'll have to use, the training program, management styles, growth opportunities, hours and company culture."

I read this list and went, I want none of those things - I want to work from home and be my own boss and be a screenwriter/writer.

That is what I want to do. I don't want to work for anyone else. I don't want to have to rely on a company to give me a raise. Nothing. I want it all on my shoulders.

So that was a fairly simple and fast exercise for me. LOL. Now to get working on accomplishing it....
