Trayvon Martin's Murder

AB,I had read GZ was involved in a domestic violence charge. Where was the outcry? None from the right wingers. Stump,the race hustlers are the GZ supporters like Shawn Hannity,Rush Limbaugh,Bill O'Reilly,and all of the right wing radio talk show commentators in the US. As for Bookie,she should just have a thick skin even though I disagree with most of her beliefs in the GZ case and others similar to it.

You have to quietly appraise the source of the respect .......If you have my respect and Stumper's respect and Bliss's respect and Ches's respect, that should more than suffice as a counter ......the gloves are off.....from this crowd, don't ask for respect, don't look for respect, don't expect any respect....

 

It appears as if the discussion has become personal again. In the interests of bonhomie, I will take the first step and apologize if I have offended anyone with any of my posts. I, as I am sure others do also, feel strongly about this issue as a victim of police harassment and on occasion individual racial harassment, depending on where in the country I find myself. This personal experience is visceral and can cause me to perhaps be a bit caustic in my responses. I respect the other members here, many of whom I have profound philosophical differences with, regardless of your personal opinions. I do not expect you to share my views on this matter, as we have all lived very different lives, with very different life experiences. But I will endeavor to take the high road and avoid stooping to personal attacks. With regard to the Trayvon Martin murder, I don't see how race can be separated from this case in any significant way. The racial history and present of this country is such that race is implicated in the way various people live and perceive the same set of events, and colors (pardon the bad pun) every modern economic or social event. I hope that we can all remember this as we discuss this issue so that we neither race-bait nor act as if racism does not exist, but instead take into account the myriad ways it affects us all in this country.

A reduced charge is usually a deal worked out not a misstatement of fact. If I get hit with a speeding ticket for doing 85 and they later reduce it to a seatbelt violation it doesn't mean I wasn't speeding it was the deal worked out to avoid court time. You never got a ticket before?

And the last part is not speculation come on Paniro. They painted this kid a thug from.the jump just because he had gold fronts and a bunch of goofy shit on his facebook(like damn near every other kid his age has).

thats very easy to explain. it doesnt bother me that you are a republican and a conservative. meaning it doesnt bother me wholly in how you view the govt should act in america (fiscally conservative and strict holder of the constitution and for some religious beliefs) . I stated my support for you in many of cases in regards to yor right to say so and respect that. this despite my differences in how a goivt should run the country.

but in this case you have inferred and stated that tray is a thug and inferred and or zim is the good guy no matter what the non-bias evidence is there. you, more than once, minimized zim's criminal record and maximized trays noncriminal record at every turn.

then you inferred that tray deserved what was coming to him and zim was a good man who was mild mannered blah, blah.

in total you put all the onus on tray (a 17 year old...legally a child. also by any legal pyschologist will tell you he didnt have the cognitive maturity for that type of situation) but yet zim (a 28 year old fully mature definitely by every psychologist standards) got a pass from you on every turn. you gave him no responsibility at all.

this is the type of rhetoric and mindset a klansman has. thus it walks, talks and acts like a duck it is a duck.


that is what a klansman do. they supported zim's trial in words and in money. klansmen gets no respect from me and because you have taken on the traits of a klansman or exhibits the traits of a klansman you gets no respect from this man...this black man.

The same with Arch and Paniro. But somehow you ignored all that.

The difference is, I can have an intelligent debate with Arch and Paniro, you can't.
