It's still very early in the season. I'm sure a decent RB will emerge on the waiver wire sometime this year. You just gotta keep a lookout.
I recently became a fan of football (used to hate it, and go shopping or go to another room when it came on). But, last season I became a fan of Tim Tebow. My Broncos have stunk for a long time (grew up in Colorado) and I remember going to several playoff games and they lost (smile). I never strayed, always liked the Broncos for the simple fact I am originally from and spent a majority of my childhood in Colorado. I was soooo happy for Elway when the Broncos finally won a superbowl. I have mad respect for Tebow, for not only his principles regarding his religion and beliefs, but also because he brought that team out of the dumps. He was a rookie QB, and admitingly not consistent, but he did a great job rallying the team together to believe in themselves and act more like a cohesive team. Sad he got cut. I will continue to be a Tebow fan, and I'm excited I suppose about Peyton Manning. Just wish they could have kept Tebow. We'll see how the Broncos do this season...
You know, I never thought of it that way....about Cleveland's fan's being notorious for holding grudges. Good observation and I'm with you on Art. *Oh and sorry, I didn't see your Saints update in here before I bumped the Saints thread.
I find the bolded parts hilarious! Especially the phone part! I so see you doing that. You’d be a blast to watch a game with. (In fact, there’s a cpl here who’d be fun as heyall to watch with!) As far as making the season more fun, I don’t doubt it. My radios are set to the local and ESPN sports stations and they have Suicide Pools as well as FFF experts on A LOT. For me, I just love my Iggles so much, and the EAST is so full of drama with top teams, that I’m more than occupied. But I will be rooting for you and Tony to effin “kick ass”, to quote Deniro, lol. ... (*ok edit, you meant checking your cell phone, I was envisioning you being constantly on the phone talking to your "F/League cohorts )
Arghhh! 4 interceptions thrown by Vick so far...1 turnovers 3 by the Browns, too...and it's not over! :smt108
Weee! Phew. :smt109 Ironic how an interception by Rivers prevented the Browns from possibly getting 3 points for the win. Nine turnovers today. Terrible just in and of itself.
Lost Andrew Luck 23-45, 309 yds, 1 td 3int / WonRobert Griffin III 19-26, 320 yds, 2 tds 0int So far im liking what im seeing outta the 2nd overall pick:grin:. LOL And everyone thought Luck was more pro ready. :smt021 What were they thinking. smh
Ouch. Who did Luck play against? Griffin's head must be swollen tonight. :???: I heard today it was an historical day for the NFL...10 starting QB rookies...which doesn't say much for the former QB's I suppose.
Andrew Luck and the Colts played these guys: I thought Andrew Luck made a very respectable showing for his first season opener. The problem is not really him, but more of the fact that the Colts are in rebuilding mode after their dismal season last year. I think it'll take a season or two to build around their very talented QB, and once he gets a lot of the talent, he'll be a force to be reckoned with. All in all, although the Bears won, Luck has nothing to be ashamed about it. He did great for being a rookie!
Luck played against the frikking Chicago Bears. RG3 played against the Saints, minus their head coach. There's a little difference between those two defenses guy.
RG3 played in one of the most difficult environments to play in and the Saints are still one of the best team even without their coach. But we will see as the year goes on if the Bears are that much better than the Saints. btw Steve Spagnuolo is a pretty good defensive coach himself, with a ring i might add.
Was glad to see RG3 played well yesterday. I will try to catch the 'Skins a little this year - they were my dad's team for years.
LOL, true that. And Spags was Eagles bred-and-trained under one of the the best QB blitzing DC's in the biz! (Rip JJ)
Well I think you'll get two chances to catch him playing this year. Be sure to make time to watch him work his magic. Thats right. Spags was taught by the best. RIP Jim Johnson
